I was not in Brazil when I woke.
When my eyes opened, I saw a blue floor, covered in blue dust, like sand. The air was misty, but the mist had a strange color to it. It looked purple, and it made the place look a whole lot dreamier.
I pushed myself off the ground, then stood up. A woman stood in front of me, wearing a dark blue dress which went all the way down to her feet, then stretched even farther for about three feet.
She had sparkling blue eyes and dark brown hair, and pale skin.
It was obvious that I was in another Realm and even more obvious that she was the Legend of this Realm.
"Hello, Leon," she said. "I've been waiting for you."
"Who..."
"I'm Ariel, the Legend of the Mind Depths," she whispered. Her voice seemed to echo throughout the whole Realm as if the Realm itself was talking to me.
"Wait... is Skylar alright?" I asked, scared.
"She is fine. I wouldn't act so kindly to you if she weren't," Ariel sneered.
"Oh, um... thanks?"
"I came here to tell you of the things that await. Have a seat," she gestured around.
I looked around, confused, as there was nothing but empty space around us.
"This is your mind, Leon. I'm in your head. Just imagine anything," she said as if reading my thoughts. Come to think of it, she probably was reading my thoughts.
My head couldn't exactly process what she was saying, but then I became even more confused because I was technically in my head.
Nonetheless, I closed my eyes and imagined of a house by the sea, on a mountain, with a beach below, thriving with the locals as they said "Nice wave, dude!"
The inside of the house had a giant TV, with an even bigger bookshelf. It was small, with only one room and a kitchen connected to the living room. Giant windows showed the outside and the people having fun, and the waves crashing on the shore.
Fun. I wondered when I would experience that again.
Suddenly, I was in the house I had imagined. There was a red carpet on the floor, which hadn't been planned, but it suited the rest of the house, so it was fine. The TV I imagined was planted on a wall and on top of the wall was a king-sized bed!
Two staircases led up to the bedroom, and behind the seating area, a door led somewhere, which I was guessing was the bathroom. On the side opposite to the bedroom, a kitchen counter stood, with a kettle and a coffee machine.
The house was luxurious and amazing, I had to admit. But all of the artificialness and advanced technology made it feel less like a home.
Ariel sat down on one of the sofas.
"I prefer better," she huffed.
I sat down on the chair across from her.
"So," I said. "Why'd you enter my dream?"
"I came here to warn you, Leon," she leaned forward. "You heard what Tormenius said about being reborn, right?"
I mean, yeah he's just going to come back in like a week, right? I thought, but I didn't say it. I didn't know why I didn't say it because she could see right through my head anyway.
"It's not just that," Ariel sighed. "Tea or coffee?"
"Um... what?"
"Which do you prefer?" she asked again, angrier.
