We flew for about three hours, accompanied by the constant complaining of the group for food. So we decided to land in Washington D.C for a quick lunch break.

We landed the unicorns and gryphon in a parking lot and used Skylar's magic car-look thing so the people passing by wouldn't see three mythical creatures standing before them and have a heart attack.

"Where should we go?" I asked the group.

"How about a fast-food place?" Theo asked.

"No!" Mia objected. "Let's go buy some steak."

Hearing that word made me ten times hungrier.

"I'm in for steak," I raised my hand.

Theo shrugged. "I guess that works."

"I'm vegetarian," Dawn muttered.

"I'm sure there's something for you," Skylar patted her on the shoulder.

We located a steakhouse which also had some vegetarian meals in it and went in.

The instant I stepped in, the smell of cooking meat filled the air. The scent made my stomach grumble. A waiter with the most impressive moustache I've ever seen, approached us.

"May I help you?"

Skylar stepped forward. "A table for five please."

"Right this way," the man said and walked us to a table with five cushioned chairs.

We all sat down and he asked for our orders.

We each got steak -except for Dawn who got a salad- and then waited patiently for it to cook. Surprisingly, the place wasn't very full, so I expected them to bring our food quickly, but I was wrong.

Skylar looked afraid.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Nothing, it's just..." she shuddered. "Remember our last restaurant experience?"

I remembered. But we had just fought Glacia, so I thought she shouldn't be a problem. Then again, there were a ton more enemies looking for us.

Dawn started to have a silent argument with Mia. I couldn't hear anything that they were saying, but then I looked at Skylar and, judging from her focused expression, she seemed to be reading the minds of the two.

Theo looked bored, like an angry teenager who was forced to come on this trip with his parents, but just wanted to stay again and play video games.

Then again, we were all forced to come on this trip rather than play video games.

"Dude," I poked Theo, who was looking out of the window now. "You alright?"

"Yeah, fine," he muttered. He didn't look fine.

"Seriously, what's wrong?"

"I'm just worried about Aurora," he looked at the ground.

My brain imploded, then exploded that very second.

"Wait, what?" I was shocked.

"Yeah. What if your sister and Pandora can't generate enough heat to melt the ice? It took a lot of my power to warm her up..." his voice drifted off.

My five year-old boy mode turned on. "Oooooooh," I teased him.

"Shut up," he said, but I could see that he was trying to hide a smile.

"Don't worry, dude," I said. "They'll take good care of her. And also, your secret is safe with me."

"What? What secret?" he asked, his face turning red.
