I woke up in my cabin. My sword and armor lay on the wooden table. The air smelled like fresh oxygen, the morning smell that filled the whole village every day. But this time I wasn't in the village. In fact, that village didn't even exist anymore.

I tried to sit up, but pain shot through my back and I groaned in pain, laying back down. I turned my head to look toward the door. Skylar came in, with a thin, gray hoodie and purple jeans.

"You feeling better?" she asked.

"I..." I started to say, but shut my mouth since even that took to much energy.

"Hey, it's fine if you can't speak. We always have our heads," she smiled and poked her forehead.

Why are you being so nice to me? I asked her in my mind.

So should I not be? she asked and grinned.

No, I'm not saying that. I'm just asking why.

I don't know. You just seemed so close to me the day you slammed onto me while I was peacefully meditating.

Sorry about that, I thought and sighed in real life. I never got a chance to ask if it hurt.

Nah, not that much, she replied. How was the race?

I don't remember much except flying around, and slamming into the kid Flash and then feeling a little vertigo as I fell off. What happened after that?

Well no one stopped you.

So warm-hearted, I thought sarcastically.

We couldn't do anything about it. You fell off the tree and landed back onto the training area. I don't even know how you survived! That fall would have killed any mortal, but it matters on your speed-

Hey, we live in a world where there is a Sky Kingdom which technically isn't the sky, so I don't think your smarty mind will figure this out, I laughed, which surprised Skylar as much as it surprised me.

I tried to sit up again. My back still hurt but it was better, still though, the bed felt like rock.

"Any broken bones?" I spoke aloud.

"Well, you didn't have a broken bone, but... something about a crack...? Then they just gave you the Sap and you were fine," she replied.

"The Sap... Aspenbarrow juice?"

"It's called Sap, not Aspenbarrow juice," she said smugly.

I tried to stand up but my leg bones felt as if they were made out of noodles. I sat back down on the bed when I realized the struggle was hopeless.

"I can't go to the mission tomorrow," I groaned.

"What? Why?" Skylar asked, worried.

"Skylar... I can't stand up."

"Oh, right..."

"Maybe you can go for me. Then there's no risk of four people going," I suggested.

"No... you have to come."

"Why?"

"I can sense it, you just have to," she said.

"I don't have the energy to."

"I know that but... never mind..." she smiled and stood up. "Rest, tomorrow, we're going to ride the unicorns to Rome."
