Once the kid who had killed me, slowly made his way back to his base, his team cheered with pride. Coach came from behind us and said, "The winners are... team 2!"
The other team continued cheering. I applauded. I was upset I had lost, but then again, that guy had done a pretty good job at tricking me. I wasn't going to be a bad sport. Once the guy was finally at the edge of his base, the glowing blue force field disappeared and the guy stepped out.
Coach smiled, but I knew something was bothering him. Our conversation the night before.
We must order a mission immediately.
"Everyone, to your cabins! In ten minutes, meet back up in the treasure hall. We have something to discuss," he said, and went off to his office.
All of us split up to go to the cabins of our Legend Parents. Since my dad had only my sister and she wasn't here, I was alone, Lukas explained as he waved and went to go with his siblings.
I went into my cabin and sat on my bed for a few minutes. I tried to create a mini tornado in my room. Nothing. Lukas was right. The only reason I was able to do all of that was because of our upgraded bodies in the arena.
I stood up and walked over to a mirror.
I had never really cared how I looked except for my hair. I hated it when it slumped down, and it had just then. With my left hand, I stroked it upwards towards the left. Much better.
I pressed the white button on the center of the lightning bolt armor, and the black and white magic cloth retreated into it, along with everything else. What was left after that was the golden shoulder pads, the lightning bolt, and where I put my sword.
I took the sword out and put the armor on the base of my bed. I lay down and stared at the sky.
We had about three minutes left until we would be called to the "Treasure Hall," whatever that was and wherever it was.
I didn't bother to get my jacket, since it was pretty warm outside anyway.
I got back up and stepped out of the door. A few of the siblings of the red-haired girl along with her were making their way around the Great Hall toward the back. Some other kids in green shirts went there as well, followed by Theo's siblings, and so on.
I followed them across the dirt and around the Great Hall.
The Treasure Hall looked amazing. It was made of pure iron with gold highlights (jeez this place sure loved those), but the inside was even better. It was similar to the outside. Iron with gold highlights, but with a red carpet leading up a set of about five stairs, onto a higher platform where coach was staying.
The inside was decorated with stands, which held strange objects I didn't notice.
One held a dragon head. Another had a huge yellow egg, encased in glass. Another had a floating, purple hilted sword, with purple runes on the steel blade. There were many more, but I had to get a move on.
The walls had seats on them in which everybody sat.
I found Lukas and Theo sitting next to each other and I joined them.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"A mission," Theo responded, looking at the coach.
"What's that?"
"It's when three Heroes search for something or defeat monsters or whatever."
"Are all of these treasures things you guys looted from those?"
