"Leave the room!" she ordered the dwarves. "We do not want any more deaths!" she said as she took off her hood.
She had light skin, and bright green eyes. Her cheeks were red, though I'm pretty sure it wasn't because she was flustered. Maybe it was because she was really angry. She had light brown hair which was braided on the sides, but hung loose toward the back. If you saw her on the street on a normal day, you would expect her to be always smiling and happy. Instead, she looked angry and ready to kill somebody right now- that somebody being me.
Surely enough, the dwarves filed out of the room, tripping and hitting each other, but once we still waited until they were all out of the Great Hall. Like the Queen said, I didn't want any more dwarven deaths to put them on our bad side.
The guards were desperately trying to tie Bofur to a column and then help their Queen, but Bofur was squirming around, giving the guards a hard time.
My friends stood up with me, and all of them drew their weapons, except for Dawn and Skylar, who didn't have any.
"Look, I will reason with you," the Queen told us through gritted teeth. "Leave now, and we will forget that you came here in the first place."
"Only if you swear upon the name of Aeon that Bofur will be free from punishment," Mia said.
"What? No!" the Queen exclaimed as if the thought sounded disastrous.
"Then we aren't leaving," I told her.
"Fine then!" she said and she opened up her hands. Two blue orbs appeared in them, which glowed so brightly that I had to avert my eyes so they wouldn't burn out. That was a bad idea because she shot both of the orbs toward my chest and before I could dodge them, they exploded, sending electricity through my body.
It felt as if dozens of tiny bugs were biting me from every corner of my body while my insides were vibrating insanely. I couldn't see what was going on, since my vision started going fuzzy, and I smelt smoke, probably coming off of me. I remember how the lightning bolt had struck me that day, but this felt much worse. I couldn't stop shaking, and I definitely couldn't calm myself down like I had when the lightning bolt had hit.
I head someone say "Dawn, help him," and heard footsteps before seeing a shape loom over me.
"D-d-d-da-w-w-n," I said, barely able to say that even.
"It's okay..." she said and then she said something else but I couldn't understand through the burning pain in my body. "... will be better," I heard through the fuzziness of my brain.
I felt a hand on my stomach before all of the pain went away. My sight started to clear, and I saw what was going on. My friends and the Queen were having an intense battle, Mia and Theo slashing at her while Skylar was trying to help out from behind. Dawn still stood over me, her eyes full of concern.
"Are you better?" she asked.
"Yeah," I coughed. "Go help them, I'll catch up."
She nodded, and ran over to help fight the Queen. I heard the Queen constantly chant something, in magic language probably, before a flash of lightning appeared, or energy shields appeared in front of her or my friends were assaulted with frogs.
I balanced myself on my elbow, then pushed myself up fully with my hand. When I stood up, I almost fell back down. Apparently, I wasn't fully better from the shock. I felt light-headed and dizzy. The world seemed to flip 360 degrees vertically, and I could barely take a step forward.
I almost fell on my face, but I managed to stay upright. I stood still in my position, hoping that the world would stop spinning around me. I felt guilty that I had started this fight and I wasn't even contributing in winning it. I saw blasts of fire as they also spun around in my head, and saw Mia slashing with her daggers, but the constant movement made me even dizzier.
