Chapter 6
Going to the South side was so different. In my car there was Andy in the passenger side. Abby and Becky in the back, I wanted them to come with me. Abby was happy to go, she thought that maybe King Louis would finally notice her and fall in love with her. Becky was jealous because Abby was in love with Louis, when Beck was in love with Abby. Andy hasn’t talked to me since that time he caught me with Tom before my wedding.
“I can’t wait to see everything! You know I have never been out of that castle since I was first taken there? I can’t believe my dreams are coming true!” Abby kept on telling the same old story.
“I no maybe Louis with finally talk to you!” Andy said in a pretend girly voice. I laughed I hadn’t heard his voice the whole car ride.
“Turn right up ahead.” said the mechanical voice coming from the GPS. I did what it said and I came to an old looking bridge. As I drove over it I felt the water underneath. The legions about how vampires can’t cross over running water wasn’t true, but to an extent. We could cross over, but we will feel uneasy, vulnerable. And that is something us vampires do not like to feel.
“Wow look at the size of that house! It’s huge! It looks like Hogwarts Castle from Harry Potter.” Becky was younger than all of us she was only 16, when I was supposed to be 19 but stuck at the age 17 forever.
“Yeah I guess your right it does.” I said fidgeting in my seat.
“Lori, are you okay, your fidgeting.”
“I’m fine it’s just that the sun is coming up in 1 minute. And we still have 10 minutes to get to the front gate.”
“I’ll call them tell them what is going on.” said Abby.
A minute later the sun was rising, it looked beautiful but painful. I could feel it hitting the side of the car, my windows were tinted, to a human you wouldn’t be able to see out the window even a little bit.
“Okay they said that we should cover you up when we bring you in because they don’t have an underground tunnel to go through.” said Abby. I drove up to the front door Andy took off his shirt and put it over my head, Abby put her jacket on my arms, and Becky would cover my eyes. As we got closer to the door it opened up and I could see my sister on the other end.
“Come on run!.” but then a big gush of wind blew Andy’s shirt off of my head exposing me to the sunlight.
“AHHHHHH!!!!” I screamed so loud that the glass in the door cracked and then shattered. I fell to my knees in pain, I could feel the burning of the sun slowly peeling my skin away. Faintly I could hear everyone screaming to get me into the house. But I couldn’t move, I couldn’t feel, black spots started forming into my eyes, and I felt light headed. The last thing I remember is seeing Tom’s face and everything went black.
*Later that Night*
I felt something cool on my forehead, when I finally awoke.
“Good your finally awake.” I heard someone say.
“Hum, what? What happened? Who are you?” I couldn’t see the mans face. And I didn’t know how I had gotten inside the castle. “Oh man I must have blacked out.”
“Yes you did, no, no, don’t open your eyes just yet no matter how beautifully purple they may be. You need to regain your strength to heal.” The man had a voice of authority. But still I did not know who it was.
A couple minutes later, the man told me that I could open my eyes. And when I did I was shocked to see that the man who was taken care of me was no other than King Louis. His eyes were glowing yellow as usual.
