Chapter 16

    A week later was the night that my twin brother and Claudia were getting married. It was the night of her life. Everything was ready. The seats, the isle, her dress, her makeup, even her tiara that I have forbidden her to see.  All the vampires in Germany were here, filling up the place like an over packed LA club. The elegant dresses that they were all wearing, an the suites. I would walk down the isle with whoever Claudia chose.

    For a first time bride Claudia was extremely calm. Unlike me who was crying, and hyperventilating. And then crying again because I was crying. She was all smiles, and laughs, I was so happy for her.

    It was time, the music was cryptic, Candy and King Louis were sitting in the front row of people. Claudia was going to be given away by her father, Bill. And this was when Claudia dropped a bomb on me.

    “Oh Aunty Lori, you and Tom are paired up tonight.” she smiled and walked away. Bill and I looked at each other. This wasn’t good. Victor said that if Tom and I ever saw each other together he would tell Don about what we did.

    When it was time for us to walk down the isle I saw Bill talking to Tom, well talking isn’t what I would call it they were yelling at each other, but you couldn’t hear it over the music.  Candy and King Louis walked down the isle and now it was my turn. I felt Tom’s hand grab mine, and bring it so that it was draped inside of the crook of his arm. I felt him leaned down to my ear and say, “I have missed you Lori. I need to talk to you after the wedding.” He then moved away and we walked down the isle. I first thing I saw was Victor’s eyes go from normal to a firing blue. He was pissed. He looked from Tom to me then back. But he calmed down when her saw that I was uncomfortable. He leaned back down in his chair, but kept his eyes on us.         

    Then it was Claudia and her father’s turn. She was smiling and her eyes were glowing bright in there natural element color, Air, they were a beautiful green and yet blue color. Her fangs were growing each second that the seconds went bye.

    When they reached the end, Bill let go of his daughter’s hand and put it in Adrian’s. My brother was wearing a black suite, and his eyes were glowing a great blue color, his element is water. Tom and I stood side by side while the whole thing happened.

    Victor stood up and said, “ Acests doua vampiri au ajuns mai departe, care uremia sa fie cuplat cu toata eternitatea.” (These two vampires have come forth, to be mated by all eternity) he said in Romanian. The same words that he said at my wedding.

    He then gave the goblet to Claudia and she drank from it, after her it was Adrian. After every lat bit of the blood was gone, Adrian turned to Claudia and held her in his arms. She tilted her neck back giving him room to bite her and when he did the whole room erupted in cheers. Now I know what it’s like to be in the crowd, the way you feel when one is mated, you feel like your flying high in the air. Exhilarating.

    When they detached themselves, Victor announced that Claudia’s new title was now, ’Your Royal Highness, Princess Claudia of the South.’ he then placed the diamond crown on top of her head, after that it was time to party. People moved out of the new mated couples way, but continued to dance. It was traditional for the ’bride and groom’ to dance first, they moved together with a dance that not even I could comprehend.

    They were always able to move together, but not like this. They were perfect together. I tried to go to Don’s side but Tom’s hand on my arm stopped me. Tom pulled me to the dance floor, from the corner of my eye I could see Victor stand up in protest, but then Don put an arm around Victor smiling, and having know idea why Victor was upset.
