Chapter 5

    I woke up with Don’s arm wrapped around my waist. I was tired, and I needed to feed. It has been three months since I had gotten married. I thought that everything that my sister told me would be more, complicated. But everything was going great better than I had hoped. My life has gotten less complicated, my life before marriage was always about politics, and going to the council meetings that happen every Sunday. And today was Sunday Victor wants me to be at this one meeting he says that it involves my presents too. 

    It was just sunset, how I wished that I could see it again. I remember when I was human that I would go and sit on the roof of my house and watch the sun rise and set. I would go there to leave the world behind, and just be with myself.

    I had to get up, get ready, and then go to the council meeting. But when I tried to get up out of the bed, Don’s arm that was around me tightened. Even when I tried to pry it away I just got tighter.

    “Mm, no, your not getting up, it’s way to early to think about getting up right now.” he mumbled still half asleep.

    “Ha ha, yes that’s true, but we need to go to the council meeting right at night fall, and I need to feed.” Don may look scary, but he was such a baby.

    “You know the only way to quench your thirst is to drink from your mate, you may drink from your consort, but you will be hungry in only 3 more days, if you drink from me you’ll be fine until next month.” Don was right, but I hadn’t seen Andy since he got here 3 days ago. I had no idea if he was settling in at all. Plus I missed him.

    “You want to see him don’t you?” Don was a little jealous about my relationship with Andy. Andy was always my best friend since I arrived at King Antonio’s. We had something special together.

    “Yes, I do want to see him.”

    “Huh, okay, I’ll send him to come here.” he snapped his fingers, and only minutes later Andy was walking through the bedroom door. Don got up and went into our personal bathroom to get ready.

    “You need to feed, your eyes look dull, and your skin is pail.” Andy came over to the bed and sat on my lap, I know to you humans a guy sitting on a girls laps is so wired, and stupid. But for us vampires it shows loyalty to your vampire. Andy gently moved back his long black hair and uncovered his neck, I could see all the previous bite marks all over it. My mouth began to water, and my eyes glowed purple, Andy loved it when my eyes glowed their other color.

    I licked Andy’s neck, the taste of him was the same. And I tried to be gentle because I knew that he was still sore, but I still heard the hiss of pain come from him. My fangs grew the longer they were in his neck, and each suck of the blood going into my mouth was pure heaven. I could feel my strength becoming stronger, all of my senses became so much more profound.

    With the rush of endorphins Andy was in pure pleasure. Moaning and his breath coming in short gasps. His hands moved to my hair and gently pulled allowing me a better access at his neck. I felt bad for doing this, but I knew that I needed it. I opened my eyes and saw Don standing in the doorway, his eyes were their glowing yellow, and the expression on his face looked like jealously. I released Andy, and gently rested him on my side of the bed. I went to the bathroom and got a washcloth wetted it with warm water and went back to Andy. I gently washed his neck with the towel.

    “I do not understand why you are so nice to your consort.” Don said.

    “He is my friend. He was the first friend I ever made in this life.”  Don came around the bed to me, he gently wrapped his arms around me bringing me to him, kissing my temple.

    “I just don’t understand you. You are not like the rest of us, you are compassionate. And different. I can see why everyone thinks you will change our world. And that it was makes me love you.” He once again kissed my head. “Come on get ready, we need to go to the vampire council shortly, I will make sure one of the humans will bring him back to his room to rest.” Don told me. I smiled and kissed him again.

    The vampire council, consisted of every vampire in Germany. That was well over 125,000 vampires. I didn’t know what this meeting was about, but I was sure that it wasn’t good.  If you can imagine a haunted vampire house, you have just imagined our Council Castle. Millions of vampires go there everyday. And for different reasons.

    The outfit I wore was a black top with random rips on the shoulders and chest, the skirt was short, with the colors black and white checkered all over.  5 inch leather heels that went up to my ankle. Heavy black eyeliner, and eye shadow. This was our normal outfits to go anywhere.

    On our way to the council room, we met up with  Daniel Dibaberac, she was one of the council members. She was a very important person, she makes all the rules that vampires have to follow,  she used to be queen of the East (before her mate was killed by King Don) but she hated Don, because in the war when the East was the most powerful and Don killed the king, that king was her mate. Once you are mated and your mate dies, you can never find another. So she was condemned to an eternity alone. Therefore she hated King Don.  

    When we got to the council. Everyone was there. Don and I took our places sitting at the left of the King. In front of us was the south side family, then next to the was the west side family. When our King came in we all stood, and looked down. It was proper, you look down to someone that has more power than you do.

    “My children! I have called this meeting on the behalf of the war between the north and the south. I king Victor am putting Queen Lorelei of the North is custody of the South. You” he pointed to me, “Are to stay with the south, for 1 year, and in return are to report back to me of the things that happen at that house.” then he pointed to Don, “You are to go to America, we have a problem with the American vampires, we have reason to believe that they are getting sloppy with their secrecy of their kind. I want you to visit them and keep an eye on them for 1 year. And report back to me everyday.”

    “You can’t do this! I have just gotten married 3 months ago! We are still newly weds! Please make an exception!” yelled Don, he had a desperate look on his face. Victor just smiled and denied him.

    He turned to me, “Are you going to put up a fuss about this too.”

    “No. I will do as you say.”

    “Good. Now I want you to pack your things and get going to the South.”

    “Yes, my lord.” I bowed, and left, I felt a presents behind me and when I turned around it was Tom.

    He had a smug look on his face, “Well you finally get to stay with us. I hope to be seeing you VERY soon.” he came close to me pushing me up against the wall. He whispered in my ear, “I know how you feel about me, you can’t stop thinking about that kiss we had.” I heard footsteps coming toward me.

    “Sis isn’t this great?! You get to stay with us! Oh I just can’t wait! We are going to have so much fun, aren’t we Bill?”

    “Um yeah I guess so.”

    To tell you the truth  I was happy that I was going to stay with them.

    It was the beginning. Everything would change now. That year went by quicker than anyone would have imagined. In that year everything changed. Powers that I didn’t know that I had came out, along with my brother. No wonder why they didn’t want us to be around each other, who would have thought that we both could set our world on fire.
