Chapter 19

    When I woke up, I was facing Tom again. It had to be just sunset and I couldn’t fall back asleep. But I couldn’t take my eyes off of Tom. The way his eyes seemed to flutter in his sleep, and how his mouth was slightly open. He looked younger when he was asleep, well everyone does.

    It was then that I figured out why I had woke up in the first place. Candy was sitting on the side of the bed, with a smile on her face.

    “Guess what?” she asked. Did she not know that I was indeed only covered in a sheet, with my boyfriend?

    “Uhm I don’t know?”

    “They’ve found him. Don, he won’t answer anything until you get there, he wants to make a deal with everyone. He divorces you while in return he will tell you about the war to everyone.”

    “When?”

    “Well now.” she said.

    “Well then,” I turned around and jumped on Tom. “Get up, come on Tom get up! They found Don and we have to get going! Oh my god. Tom. GET. UP!”

    “Okay, okay woman! I’m up, I’m up”

    As we were getting to the castle. Memories were bombarding me again. Everything was happening so fast this past year. The marriage I had with Don, and thinking that I was in love with him. And then him leaving and having an affair with Tom, and never knowing that I was falling in love with him until it was too late. And then going back to him when Don found out, and now, back in love with him all over again.

    “ah, Lori it’s nice to see you again.” bowed one of the human consorts that belonged to Victor.

    “Nice to see you too.”

    “They are in the next room to your left.” he told he and left.

    As I walked in the room Victor and everyone else stood up, it was then that I realized that I was wearing my crown.

    “Hello Queen Lori.” they all said.

    “Hello everyone.”

    “Now talk.” said one of the guards, pushing Don.

    “If I can divorce Lori, I will tell you everything I know about the war with the Americans.”

    “Okay, now speak.” said Victor.

    “Okay, I went to America just as you told me to do your highness King Victor. But it was there that I learned what they were planning to do.  I wanted to join them, gain their trust and then report back to you about what they were doing, but them after I was almost done with my year. One told me that my wife was committing adultery. She gave me proof to that statement, by showing me her memories.”

    “Who is ’she’?” asked Victor.

    “Jen.” I said.

    “Yes that was her name how did you no?” Don asked me.

    “She went missing the day after we put her in jail.” and no one wanted to find her, we thought that she would die at some point not giving her food and all.”

    “Anyway, I was angry so I joined there forces. But when I came back and saw that everything was different and more in charge I called my alliance off.”

    I didn’t believe him, I had a feeling that he was lying to us. And when I shot a look at Victor he knew what I was thinking and was on edge.  And when Don was done with his ’story’ we gave him what he wanted, divorce.

    “Just sign here, here and then here.” we both did.

    “I never thought that Lori would ever go back to being a princess.” said Victor. “I can always see you as a queen, never a princess.”

    “I know.” Victor came over to me and took my crown from my head. He then threw it in the air and I used spirit to destroy it, it erupted into a bunch of sparks, kind of like fireworks.

    After everything that happened Victor said that all the vampires in Germany were to stay at his house for the time being. I was constantly given apologies for my divorce. And girls were asking me permission if they could marry my ex-husband. But let me tell you Tom loved the fact that I was now a single woman, but that didn’t last long though when Tom got on his knees and asked me if I would be his girlfriend. And I excepted.   

    Later that night I was awaken with a terrible sound, screaming and the smell of fire. And somewhere within the screaming was a voice.

    “The American’s are here, the American’s are here! Were under attack!”

    The war had begun.
