During lunch on any day of school, I would normally sit by myself and eat, but today was different seeing as Kellin and Tony sat down at the table with me.
"Hello Vic, how......is your first day of school going alright?" Kellin asked. I nodded with a small smile.
"I was just about to ask why you had asked that, but Mike told me that he was mute." Tony said.
"Right, isn't Mike your brother Vic?" I nodded. "I feel bad for forgetting that."
'Don't be, most people normally forget.' I wrote on a piece of paper and handed it to Kellin. He sighed before he nodded.
"I figured I'd find you guys here for some reason." Mike said as he sat down next to me. "How are you guys?"
"I-I'm alright." Kellin said sadly.
"I'm great...are you okay Kellin, you normally aren't like this." Tony said.
"I feel bad for forgetting that Mike was Vic's brother, and that I assumed that Vic wasn't mute...and nearly forgetting about it as I sat down."
"Kellin, you don't need to worry about it, most people forget about those all the time." Mike said.
"I know, Vic wrote it down, but I still feel terrible about forgetting it."
"Lets get away from anything depressing please." Tony said sounding sad.
"Of course Tony, sorry."
"It's okay Kellin."
"Anyway, why did you guys move schools?"
"Too depressing, not really something we should ever talk about unless Vic is okay with it." Mike said.
"Oh...okay." Kellin said sadly as he looked at me. For the rest of lunch I just sat quietly while the other three talked. Kellin kept glancing at me, and I felt like he was judging me or that he knew about why me and Mike had to switch schools.
When the bell finally rang, we all stood up and went to class. Mike and Tony went the same way while me and Kellin went the opposite way. Kellin didn't ask me anything until we got to class.
"I-is it alright if I hang out with you after school today?" Kellin asked. I looked at him shocked because no one had ever asked me that before, and I mean never.
'Sure, my mom won't care.' I wrote before handing Kellin the paper.
"Okay, thanks." I nodded. We both then paid attention to the teacher who was teaching us really boring things. I was glad when the bell rang. Me and Kellin stood up and he followed me outside to where I was suppose to meet up with Mike.
Me and Kellin only had to wait a few more minutes before Mike came outside with Tony following him. I looked at him confused because I didn't know if Tony was going to come over or not.
"Tony is coming over today." Mike said answering my question.
"Funny, so am I." Kellin said.
"Cool, lets go." And with that said, we began the short walk home cause we didn't get a ride, nor did I drive. Mike and Tony were the first two people to walk into the house, me being the last because I "told" Kellin to go in before me.
"Mom, we're home, and we have friends." Mike said as we walked into the living room.
"Okay...wait...friends?" My mom asked looking up from the television. She immediately stood up, turned the T.V. off and walked over to Tony and Kellin and pulled them into a hug. They both awkwardly hugged her back before they pull away. "Please tell me that you guys are Vic's friends too."
"Yeah, we are, why wouldn't we be?" Tony asked.
"Not my place to tell, but I will say if you hurt him, then I will hurt you. I am tired of my baby getting hurt by others, this..."
"Mom." Mike said forcefully.
"Sorry...just..please don't hurt him." My mom said sadly looking at me. I walked over to her and hugged her tightly, she hugged me back just as tight before pulling away. "You four go hang out, I'll order pizza for dinner."
"Okay, thanks mom." She nodded before she went to the kitchen. We all went upstairs before Mike and Tony went to Mike's room. Kellin followed me to my room.
"Nice room...wait, you like MCR?" Kellin asked as we walked into the room and I closed the door. He looked at me and I nodded. "Did you here about the ten year anniversary for The Black Parade?" Again, I nodded. We both then just stood awkwardly not talking about anything...or in my case writing or typing anything.
After a few minutes of standing there in awkward silence I finally decided to "say" something. I pulled out my phone and opened memo so that I could type.
'You can sit down if you want.' I showed Kellin what I had typed and he immediately went to my desk and sat on the chair. I went and sat down across from him on my bed.
"So...what was your mom meaning by don't hurt you?" He asked. I had a feeling that he was going to ask that. I hadn't put my phone away, so I shakily unlocked my phone and went to memo again to type something.
'Maybe, just maybe if I start talking again, I can tell you.' Kellin had moved so that he was sitting next to me and read what I had typed.
"Okay."
'Sorry Kellin...'
"It's okay Vic, believe me, you can tell me whenever you're ready, okay?"
'Thank you.' I typed as tears came to my eyes. I tried to blink them away but it didn't work, the tears just rolled down my face. I looked away from Kellin and hoped that he couldn't see them, but after I looked away, Kellin pulled me into a hug.
"Why are you crying Vic...you know what, don't answer that..." Kellin said. I tried to pull away, but he wouldn't let me. I eventually accepted it and just cried into his shirt. He just ran his fingers through my hair. I calmed down very slowly after that. Kellin tried to pull away, but I wouldn't let him go, he was the first person who wasn't family that has seen me like this.
"It'll be okay Vic, I'll make sure of that...even if I barely know you."
"T-thank you." I whispered hoping that Kellin hadn't heard, but again, I was wrong.
"Of course Vic, and I won't make you talk unless you want to." Kellin whispered back. We both pulled away from each other when there was a knock on the door. The door opened and in walked Mike and Tony with two boxes of pizza. They both sat on my bed and we all began to eat.
The three of them made jokes about a lot of things, and I was actually laughing and smiling. I hadn't laughed or smiled in a while, and Mike knew that, so when he noticed that I had a smile on my face, his face lit up.
"I miss seeing you smile Vic, I'm glad that it's back." Mike said. I just smiled at that and hugged him. He hugged me back before pulling away. "Hey...maybe since you're smiling again...m-maybe you'll be talking again soon." Mike said hopefully. I just shrugged my shoulders and looked down.
"I should get going, it's getting late." Tony said.
"Yeah, same, we'll see you guys at school tomorrow." Kellin said as him and Tony stood up.
"Of course guys." Mike said. With that me and Mike stood up and walked them to the front door. Before Kellin walked out of the house, he pulled me into a hug. I was about to hug him back, but he quickly pulled away and ran to catch up to Tony.
Mike closed the door while I just walked up to my room and closed the door before laying on my bed and staring at the ceiling. I just wanted to cry because I was staring to have feelings for Kellin, I may not have known him long, but things like this happen. I don't want this to happen though, the first time I have feelings for anyone, I ended up becoming mute, and never talking to anyone.
I regret saying anything to that kid on that day, I didn't think that he would go and tell everyone that I liked guys. Why did I have to tell him how I felt, I am such an idiot for telling him that I liked him. I started crying after I realized that, and I cried myself to sleep.
