The front door opened with a bang and there stood three people we had never seen before. Two men and a woman. The men were both blond. The older man was well built and had a menacing look on his face. The younger man was of a medium built and tall and looked down right creepy. The woman could only be described as an older version of bella. She had the same chocolate hair and brown eyes. But while my bella's eyes shined with happiness and love, the woman's eyes were dead and malicious.  Bella scowled and stood up as Emmett and Charlie flanked her. We all stood up and looked at her and the people. "Whats the hell do you think you are doing here? " Bella said growling and I saw Charlie discretely call someone telling them to come immediately. The younger blond roamed his eyes over my woman causing me and edward to growl and tugged bella between us. He raised an eyebrow at us and smirked evilly. 
"Is that the way to talk to your mother and step father, bella and I had told you if you don't give me money I will have to come. You will move back to phoenix and pay our bills, you ungrateful whore! ! " the older blond shouted. Before any of us could comprehend, Charlie had back handed the man and had a fun pointed on his forehead. "Insult my daughter one more time,  hell look at her once and I will kill you. " the man just smirked. "You won't. You are a good little chief.  You are not on duty also. You won't kill me. " the man, caius said. Just then a shot rang through and caius cursed clutching his knee. "But I will. " a voice echoed and we turned to find a tall huge man standing there with two others of the same height. Bella smirked as a woman backhanded renee and one of the men caught James.  "You really thought you could get to me ? " Bella asked the three. They snarled at her and struggled to get free. Bella shook her head and moved to me. Charlie moved to call the police as the unknown men and woman restrained the three. As soon as his back turned, caius pushed the man holding him and grabbed Charlie's gun knocking him down. "Dad " Emmett and bella yelled and moved to attack caius who turned and shot at them.
Time stopped and moved like a slow motion. Bella pushed Emmett out of the way just as the bullet hit her. We screamed and froze. The men immediately shot caius and the other two dead. James and renee had also tried to free themselves and attack their captors. We stared as bella fell on the floor, blood oozing out from her stomach and shoulder. Edward snapped out of it and caught her just as her head hit the ground. I rushed forward to her side as did the others. Bella was breathing deeply and gasping.  "I .. love...you... you are the best thing that...aah...has ever happened to me" she said between the gasps . We growled and said," dont.. you will be fine. ..dont you dare give up on us" I said kissing get her hand. Edward buried his face in her hair. "We want to marry you and have kids with you babe. Fight. For us. For Emmett. Fight. " he murmured. Carlisle  was busy applying pressure on her wound and trying to remove the bullet. The ambulance and police cars soon were heard. We reluctantly moved back as the paramedics came and put her on a stretcher.

Edward

The next few weeks were busy as bella recovered from her wounds. The bullets were removed and she was healing nicely albeit a little slowly. The three monsters were dead and charged as criminals. The men who saved us were bella's partners Sam,  Paul,  jared and Emily. They stayed with us till she was released from the hospital and then left to go back.
Bella was studying from home and recovering well. We refused to leave her for any length of time. Not that she minded. All problems were over and we finally felt at peace.
