I woke up with more texts from Calum.
Calum: why aren't you answering me
Calum: I know you read this
Calum: you have your read receipts on
I rolled my eyes and head over to my dresser. I pull out a black muscle tank top, and some black skinny jeans. I throw them on and then my dark blue socks and my fluent black converse.
I examined my outfit in my mom's full length mirror.
So much black. Maybe I should add some color.
I pull a red and black flannel out of my closet and throw it around my waist.
I shrug and head downstairs.
I head to the kitchen, pulling a can of Pepsi out of the refrigerator and then head to the counter.
I pick up a box of some off brand of Froot Loops.
I examine the side of the box and set it back down.
I grab my black backpack and skateboard and skate to school.
Almost as soon as I enter the school, Calum stops me.
"Why won't you talk to me?" He asks and begins walking with me.
"Because I was tired." I mumble, keeping a tight clutch on my backpack strap.
"Who is he? I mean, his name is Blake, but who is he?" He asks.
"He's in a few of my classes. He's on my baseball team. We were hanging out yesterday. You need to calm down." I utter, getting frustrated.
"What were you guys doing yesterday?" He asks.
"Calum, do you really need to know every detail of my life?" I sigh.
He looks pained for a second, but it's soon gone.
I feel guilty.
"Just ice cream." I sigh, getting angry with myself now for letting Blake getting in front of my other friends places.
I rush off to my first off class and ignore Blake the whole times. After the first few minutes, he realized not to talk anymore, which I'm thankful for.
When lunch rolls around, I begin trotting to the cafeteria, but freeze and bolt to the gate they had locked.
I climbed over it as quietly and quickly as possible, trying not to draw attention.
I skate to the baseball field and hop in my car I had left the previous night.
I sigh in relief once the air conditioning hits me.
And out of no where, I burst into tears. Not sure why, but it happened.
I slam my head against the steering wheel and the car honks.
I realize how selfish I had been.
I hadn't even bothered to talked to Neptune. I wonder what she's doing right now. I hope she's okay.
My hands shaking, I pull my phone out of my book bag and open her contact and begin to type.
