Neptune's POV

I woke up the next day, lying on the floor of Rylie's poster-covered room. I looked up, and she was already awake. She had her glasses on, and I could see that the blue in her hair was starting to fade because of the sun.

"What are you doing?" I asked, sitting up.

"Shh!" She said, scrolling up and down on whatever website she was on.

"What did you find?" I stretched and stood up, rubbing my eyes and trying to adjust to the light. The curtains were open, letting in the horrid sunlight.

"I found their Facebook page!" She said, looking up at me for a second, then looming back down at the laptop.

"Who's?"

"Those guys... 5 Seconds of Summer. They have a Facebook." She sat up, and turned the laptop towards me. I looked at the page, and sure enough, it was them. They weren't online at the moment, so I didn't brother messaging them.

The drummer was her neighbor. I could walk over there whenever I wanted to.

"Rylie! Neptune! Wake up!" Mandi said as she opened the door that separated Rylie's room from the hallway.

"We are up, Mom." Rylie said with no enthusiasm whatsoever. I chuckled and stood up to get ready. I had a duffle bag or clothes because I was staying with Rylie while my parents were out of town on a business trip.

There was a guest room that basically became my room when Rylie and started having our, but I hate being alone at night, so Rylie lets me sleep on her floor.

I changed into a Guns&Roses gray tank top, Converse, and jean shorts. When I walked out of the room, Rylie had on an All Time Low shirt, the same shorts, and navy blue Converse.

We walked downstairs, and sat on the chairs by the island.

"Our new neighbors invited us to a pool party. I can't go because your aunt needs me to babysit, but if you two want to go... You're welcome too. It starts at two." I looked at my phone to check the time. It was already 11:36. Why do I sleep in so late? Rylie had probably been up since 7 or 8am, but she always lets me sleep because I am extremely crabby if I don't sleep in on weekends. Especially in the summer. A girl needs her beauty sleep.

We looked at each other, and grinned. The four band guys were most likely going to be there. The drummer would because he lives there now. So, duh.

It was obvious that Rylie thought Michael was attractive. Especially when we were watching the YouTube video with him and Luke. She giggled at pretty much anything he said. I liked Luke, and the drummer. Yet, I still had no idea what his name was.

"So, are we going to the pool party, or not?" I asked after Mandi left.

"What kind of question is that?! Of course we're going, Neptune!" Rylie yelled.

"Okay, okay!" I said, putting my hands up in defense. I rolled my eyes, and stood up, "It's only twelve now. We still got two hours. What do you want to do until then?"

"Well, I was all excited to go next door, so I have no idea how to pass the time."

"We could jam out to some Green Day, and see how much time that passes." I joked. That was how we passed time. Waiting for your mom to get home? Jam out to Green Day. Hungry but dinner isn't ready yet? Jam out to Green Day. Just plain bored? Jam out to Green Day. Just saying.

We danced around to about eight songs, and then Rylie heard a weird noise. I turned down time music, and there was an odd knocking sound.

I turned around, and glanced at the window. Then, I moved out of view as fast as I could.

"Rylie! The window!" I whisper shouted.

"What?" She knelt down, and looked out it. There was the drummer, laughing. Rylie opened the window, and yelled, "Pervert!" I playfully smacked her, and she just rolled her eyes.

"Hey, I wasn't the one dancing like a maniac! And I only just saw you two!" The boy next door yelled. I bent down next to Rylie. He waved, and I waved back.

"Are you guys if us coming to our barbecue?" He asked.

"I mean, we are, but we aren't guys!" I said, and then stood back up.

Rylie answered his question, "Yes, we'll be there!" She shut the window and stood up.

"Why didn't you talk to him?" She asked.

"Because I can't dance worth a crap, and that was embarrassing!" I said.

"Well, it doesn't matter. Now get ready to go swimming!"
