Chapter 40 {By Me}

"I can't believe we're leaving today! Right now!" I said as Rylie and I put our bags in the back of her mom's car. She didn't seem as excited as I was, and I didn't know why. I mean, out best friends are now famous and we get to tour with them, and One Direction. I'm nervous and excited and everything all at once.

"Why aren't you excited?" I asked Rylie as she shut the trunk door.

She sighed and looked at the ground, then back at me, "I just feel like something is going to go very wrong. It's just my anxiety getting the best of me. I am excited, and I am happy. Just worried it's now gonna be everything we hoped."

"It'll be everything we hoped, and more." I reassured her. She gave me a weak smile and nodded.

I couldn't say I wasn't worried, because I am. But I can't be unhappy. I haven't seen the guys in so long. Plus, it'll be nice to get away for awhile. I sighed and walked back inside.

"I can't believe you guys are leaving," Mandi said. She gave Rylie a hug and pulled a strand of hair behind her ear, "You've grown up so fast, Rylie. It seems like just yesterday you were learning to ride a bike."

She turned to me, "I know you aren't my daughter, but you might as well be. I remember when you were just a little kid."

"Mom, we're not leaving forever. We'll be back in a few months." Rylie said and chuckled. I laughed and put my hands in my pockets. I was gonna miss this place, but like Rylie said, we'll be back in a few months.

**time skip**

"Neptune, wake up! We're here!" Rylie said as she shook me until I arose from my slumber.

"We're here? The plane landed?!" I asked excitedly as I rubbed my eyes then checked my hands to make sure my eyeliner didn't smear. I finally get to see Luke!

"Yes! Finally!" We watched out the window and the plane came closer and closer to the floor until it was rolling and slowing down. We're in the UK! I'm about to meet One Direction and see my best friends! This is the best day I've had in a long time!

When we could finally get off, I quickly grabbed my bag from the compartment above us. My other bag was in the lower part of the plane and I'd have to get it once we were inside.

Rylie and I basically ran into the airport. I looked everywhere for Luke. When I couldn't see him, I texted him.

Me: LUKE WHERE ARE YOU

Lukey😍💙: I see you, look up

Right when I looked up, I saw his face. The smile he had was so big. Everything seemed to be in slow motion. I dropped my bag and ran up to him. I didn't want to jump in his arms because I felt like I'd make him fall, so I just wrapped my arms around him and hugged him. Lots of people were staring. Some people asking if it was Luke from 5 Seconds Of Summer. I heard Michael's voice nearing towards us.

"I missed you." Luke whispered into my hair.

"I missed you too." He pulled away from me and pressed his lips against mine. I kissed him back.

When I heard Rylie clear her throat, I pulled away. She held up my bag and I chuckled as I took it from her.

When I looked up, I saw Michael, Ashton, and Calum. I gave them all hugs and secretly hoped this was when Rylie and Cal would become a couple. It didn't happen. Ralum will happen.

"I can't believe we're going to be touring with you guys!"
