Worst First Day

Me and Derek were walking into the cafeteria when we bumped into Kylie. "Hey Kayla who's this " she asked me smirking .This is Derek , Derek this is Kylie ."Hi nice to meet you Derek" says Kylie ."Nice to meet you too." Derek do you wanna sit with me and Kylie?" I ask trying to be polite

"Yea sure" he says smiling at me ."I'm gonna go find us a table" I said walking away

I was sitting at the lunch table when finally Derek and Kylie joined me ."So Kayla your waiting for Ethan to bring you lunch is that why your not eating" ask Kylie . No I'm not very hungry actually I say while narrowing my eyes at her . "Who's Ethan" Derek asks .Just a guy who bumped into her this morning and knocked her muffin out of her hand and said he would buy her lunch says Kylie ."Kayla he definitely likes you" Derek says "Derek , don't feed into Kylie it was just a accident people bump into people all the time its no big deal"

"I've bumped into a lot of people but never offered to buy them lunch because of it" says Derek. "me either" says Kylie  ."Derek who's side are you on" I ask ."I'm not on anybodys side both of you make good points I'm just trying to be you guys friend and friends give advice" says Derek

"True but I'm not gonna get my hopes up on something that's not gonna happen I've learned my lesson of that topic the hard way" I say looking at Kylie ."Kayla don't worry about it , I doubt we will have homework tonight so how about after school we go for pizza my treat" says Derek ."Its ok don't worry about it I wasn't counting on him bringing me lunch anyways so its no big deal" I say

Derek was about to say something when the bell rang signaling that lunch was over. I got up from the table before Kylie or Derek had a chance to say anything else .I was walking out the door when I felt somebody pull me by my wrist I turned around to see it was Derek . He didn't say anything he just looked at me for a minute then hugged me, I hugged him back and we started to walk back to class together

Derek Kylie and I all sat next to each other in Mr.McGuire's class .It was the last period of the day so everybody was on edge .Mr.McGuire was doing the same thing all the other core class teachers were doing handing out the syllabus and talking about what we would be learning this semester .The whole class period I was staring at the clock counting down the seconds of when the final bell would ring .

The final bell rang signaling the end of the day .I walked to my locker to get my backpack .I turned around to see Derek and Kylie standing behind me. "You ready to go eat ?" ask Derek ."I told you guys it was fine I'm ok ill eat when I get home you dont have to waste your money on me I" said giving him a weary smile

Ugh is she always this stubborn Derek asks Kylie ."Always you'll get used to it" she said grinning at Derek. "Hey I'm standing right here"

"Nobody told you to stand here we could be on our way to get pizza if it wasn't for you" says Kylie ."Fine lets go we can take my car" I said leading the way."Holy shit you have a car and your a freshman" asks Derek . "No I sort of have a driver" I said shyly .Derek was about to say something when I heard my name from across the school yard .I turned to see it was Ethan ."My drivers over there ill catch up with you guys" I said giving them a calming smile .

They walked away and Ethan started talking .Hey I'm sorry I didn't bring you lunch I cut him off before he could say anything else" is that all" I said getting  angry ."You have every right to be angry with me "Ethan say .I don't even know you, you know what I'm not gonna start this I'm gonna go with my friends" I said walking away ."What you haven't heard about me around school yet " Ethan say looking just as angry at me ."You know what I did but I'm not the type of person to go off what other people say so if you'll excuse me I'm gonna have pizza with my friends at Anthonys"I said ."This is stupid were fighting over lunch" says Ethan ."Your right lets just act like nothing ever happened I said walking away "but what if thats not what I want " Ethan say following me

"that's what I want " I said getting in the car and driving away
