First Game

I woke up to my phone ringing. I looked at the clock and it said one am. I picked up the phone not bothering to look at who was calling and walked out the room so I wouldn't wake Ethan . "Hello" I said. "Kayla im sorry". As soon as they said that i looked at my caller id. It was the one and on Mackenzie Phillips my mother . "What are you sorry for mom" I said with a attitude.

"im sorry that I left so much I was just trying to make sure you guys had everything you ever wanted because you didn't have a father. I wanted your lifes to be full so you wouldn't even miss him" my mom said . I could hear her crying but I didnt care."We would have been happy if you were home more and maybe once in awhile you took us to some of those trips. All we wanted was a mom but we never had one" I said

"I can't forgive you" I said ." I understand but are you ok where are" mom said. "im fine and I dont think its a good idea that you know where I am but its late and im tired so bye" I said hanging up .

I walked back into my room and layed my head of Ethans chest and fell back asleep.

"Kayla wake up" Ethan said kissing my cheek. "ok fine" I said getting up."Hey your already dressed I said looking Ethan up and down."Yea today is a big day for me and I need to prepare for it so I'll see you down stairs"Ethan said kissing me forehead and leaving.

I got and went to take a shower. I got out and grabbed my cheer bag and put my uniform on. I put my hair in a half up half down hairstyle and took out the my wand and gave myself loose curls.

I put my bow on and got my bookbag and cheer bag and started going down stairs. I got down stairs to see that Ethan had cooked me breakfast. " Ethan whats all this" I said walking to him. "Here sit down"Ethan said pulling my chair out for me.

Ethan started putting eggs, bacon and a waffle on my plate. I couldn't stop staring at him."Whats wrong" Ethan said handing me a plate. Whats gottin into you Ethan your acting like a completely different person" I said cutting my waffle into fours.

"I told you today's a very important day Kayla"Ethan said starting to eat ."Ok" I said looking a little confused .We both started eating. "So what can I expect at the game tonight" I said.

"Well someone will sing the National Anthem then the game will start then theres half time then the rest of the game then we win. that's how it always goes" Ethan said finishing his breakfast.

"Someone's alittle cocky, how do you know that were gonna win" I said getting up and putting my plate in the sink."Im caption and because you'll be there"Ethan said getting up and putting his plate in the sink.

"Awe your so sweet" I said kissing Ethan. "thank you" Ethan said leading the way to the door . We put our stuff in the back and started to drive to school. The house was only ten minutes from school so it didnt take long to get there. We pulled up to the school and got out the car and started to get our stuff. I got my bookbag and started reaching for my cheer bag but Ethan grabbed it for me.

"I got it" Ethan said getting my bag and closing the door. We were walking up to Jake when Kylie stopped in front of me. "Kayla what happened your mom called my mom looking for you" Kylie said looking worried. "Kylie please get out of my way" I said moving to the side

"We used to be best friends and your not going to tell me what's going on." Do you see why were like this, were here because you told Ethan what was going on" I said walking away. I felt someone grab my hand I turned around to see it was Kylie.

"Dont touch me" I said snatching my hand away. I walked away then I felt someone touch me."I said dont touch me" I said yanking my hand away and turning around and seeing that it was Ethan.

"Hey calm down it's me" Ethan said hugging me. We walked into the school building and Ethan walked me to my locker than left. I put my stuff away and headed to the chorus classroom.

I walked into the chorus classroom and Ms.Johnson and I went over the national Anthem and then it was time for second period. We sang a different versions of Drake - just hold on were going home , Pia Mia -red love. Then Ms.Johnson said that everyone should come to the game today and that a very special person was singing the national anthem.

it was the last day of the first week of school so all our teachers let us talk during the class periods so school went by really fast. The final bell rang and everyone was going to there lockers. I went to my locker and opened it to get my backpack and cheer bag. I started walking to the gym.

I walked into the gym and all the fooyball players and the cheerleaders were sitting around I was walking to the bleachers. when someone came up behind me. "Hey Kayla".

I turned around to see Jake. "Hey jake" I said turning around and hugging him. "I need to talk to you " jake said walking out the gym. "Jake whats wrong" I said following him outside. "Something's wrong with me" Jake said pasing

"Jake nothing's wrong with you"I said. "Hey" someone said behind me. I turned around to see Ethan. "Jake whats wrong" Ethan said walking over to him. jake whispered something in Ethans ear and then they walked away.

"Hold on , I was talking to Jake then you get here and take him away , whats going on" i said very confused." calm down we'll all talk later"Ethan said. "Ethan" I said getting angry. "I promise" Ethan said kissing me.

I walked back into the gym and took out a bag of chips and got my phone. I walked back out the gym and took a seat a picnic table.

what is Jake and Ethan hiding from me , why cant they just tell me now.

My thoughts were interrupted with Ethan sitting next to me. "What are you thinking about "Ethan said putting his arm around me."Ethan what's going on why am I feeling like this. It's like one minute I can be mad at you and the next I just want to be near you " I said facing Ethan.

I was about to say something when Ethans lips smashed into mine. My lips moved perfectly with his .We both pulled away at the same time panting."Hey we should go the game starts in thirty minutes" I said getting up

I went over to the other cheerleaders and we all went out to the field it was almost six o'clock so we all started stretching. We all got our pom poms out and put them in our hands.Then we went to grab the banner so the football players could break through.

We went out to the field and put the banner up and tge football players ran through it. Ms.Hilton pulled me to the side to put my ear piece in so I could hear the national anthem music when I sang the national anthem.

The game announcer said "Everyone please stand the the National Anthem". I walked out to the middle of the field with the microphone and turned towards yhe bleachers and football player. I saw one player that stood out the most.....Ethan.

He was looking at me with wide eyes. Then I began to sing.

Oh say can you see by the dawns early light , what so proudly we hailed at the twilights last gleaming. Whose brights stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight . O'er the ramparts we watch were so gallently streaming and the rockets red glare the bombs bursting in air. Gave proof thro the night that our flag was still there. O say , does that star spangled banner yet wave.  O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

It was completely quiet as I finished then everyone started screaming and clapping. I walked off the field with the microphone. Some of the players I walked by said good job then someone grabbed me from behind. "Oh my fucking god Kayla your amazing".

I could tell by the voice that It was Jake. I turned around and hugged him. "Thanks jake". I turned back around to see a smirking Ethan. "Who knew you could sing like that" Ethan said up to me and hugging me. "Thanks" I said kissing him I pulled away and said "Goodluck both of you"

"Thank you" Ethan and Jake said in unison. I walked over to Ms

Hilton and gave her the microphone and ear piece "You were amazing Kayla" Ms.Hilton said hugging me. "Thank you" I said walking to the other cheerleaders.

The first half of the game went by fast we were down by two points by the time the halftime buzzer went off. All the cheerleaders just stood around talking about what we would do during the second half of the game when something very unexpected happend.
