chapter 8: obsessed

"I don't know what's happening to me Ray. I can't stop thinking about her. I don't know why. Her coldness is driving me crazy. The more she pushes me away the closer I wanna get to her" Ambrose sounded like a lovestruck teenager.
"You're in love with her. Love at first sight" Ray said. "I've to find a way to contact her otherwise I'll go mad"
"Wow... Ambrose is in love. Never thought I'd hear those two words in the same sentence"
"I'm not in love, I just really want to sleep with her, that's all". Ambrose knew that was a lie, a lie he himself didn't believe. He was falling for Dr Andrews, falling for her hard and falling fast.

~ later that day ~

He went to the hospital to try his luck. He spoke to nurse Lilly who mentioned that Dr Andrews wasn't around. Ambrose was disappointed. He asked for her number, said he wanted to speak to her urgently. Lilly gladly gave it to him. He was overjoyed.

~ at his place ~

The moment he got home he immediately sent her a text. He couldn't wait. " hey beautiful ". She responded after 10 minutes. "Who's this ?"
"It's Ambrose"
"What do you want and how did you get this number?" She sounded very angry and annoyed.
"Is it so wrong to want to speak to you?"
"You're not answering my questions Mr Garcia"
"A nurse at the hospital gave it to me. I want us to be friends"
"Leave me alone" she had had enough.
"Don't be like that. I'm a great guy, just give me a chance". She knew better.
She didn't respond. He sent 5 messages. She didn't say a word.
He decided to call her. She hung up. She wasn't playing hard to get. She really wanted nothing to do with him. It was almost as if she hated him with a passion.
"If you go on a date with me, just this once I'll never bother you again".He was so desperate.
" I want nothing to do with you. Stop harassing me Mr Ambrose" she was frustrated. She then blocked his number and went to bed.
Ambrose couldn't sleep. He was thinking about her all night. Wondering why she hated him so much.
