She ran up to her room to change. She was gonna put on a pair of jeans and a cute top like she had planned. Keith was waiting patiently downstairs.
Larissa couldn't stop thinking about Keith. He was so different from Ambrose. He was more caring, more gentle and he actually still loved her. Did she believe him? Had he really forgiven her or was he planning his revenge? Was she being selfish for allowing him to love her? She didn't know what to do. She wanted his love, she needed it. Larissa was a strong woman but deep down she was still in pain and needed a shoulder to cry on. She hadn't forgiven herself for the mistake she made when she was a teenager and she began to feel depressed again. Larissa started shedding tears. She cried silently.
Larissa was taking forever. Keith was starting to worry so he went upstairs to check up on her. There where three rooms upstairs. He knocked on the first door. No answer. He tried the second one. "I'll be there in a sec". She quickly wiped away all the tears. She looked in the mirror, her eyes were swollen and red. Nothing in the world could hide that. " uhmm... Keith I won't be able to go on a date with you today. I'm feeling really sick. I think I'll just sleep in."she said without opening the door. The tears where coming out again. She was pushing him away. In her mind it was for his own good. She was scared of hurting him again. Maybe what Ambrose did to her was karma. She felt awful. She was hurting all over again. "What's wrong love?" Keith was concerned. "Just go Keith" her voice sounded different, she sounded sad. "Larissa darling please tell me what's wrong. Maybe I can help you" Keith was begging her. Larissa opened the door to let him in. Her eyes where swollen and red. "Why are you crying? What's wrong" Keith asked. "It's nothing really I'm just feeling a bit sick" she lied.
"You were fine a few minutes ago. What's really going on Larissa?" Keith was desperate.
"Keith I'm sorry I can't do this. After what happened I....." Keith kissed her to silence her. "I love you Larissa. Just give me a chance to take your pain away. You don't deserve the pain Ambrose made you feel. You don't have to feel bad for what you did back then. We all make mistakes. It's in the past. Like I said I'm not holding a grudge against you" Keith embraced her. They both sat on the bed and he held her in his arms. "I'll never hurt you, never ever. I love you too much to do that" he meant every word he said, she could see it in his eyes.
"I love you too Keith" she said to him and eventually fell asleep in his arms.
