Today was the day, the day Jamie and Lisa would meet their dad. They were both excited. Larissa had prepared everything. The only thing missing was Ambrose's presence. He was ten minutes late already.

~ at Ambrose's office ~

Ambrose had had a long day at work. Today was the day he'd finally meet his children. He was excited.
Patricia walked in. She was dressed to kill.
"I just thought I'd drop by to say goodnight" Ambrose was no fan of Patricia but he couldn't ignore what he was seeing in front of him. She was seducing him and he wasn't putting up any fight whatsoever. "Patricia I really need to go I'm late for a very important meeting"
"I'm sure Larissa can wait" she said walking closer to him.
"How did you...." She kissed him to shut him up. It was downhill from there.

~ at Larissa's place ~

Ambrose was two hours later. Each time she called him his phone went straight to voicemail. ' Where on earth was he' she asked herself. After a further 10 minutes he showed up. He looked disoriented. He had missed dinner.
"You're late. Where were you?"
"In a very important meeting Larissa". She knew he was lying because there was lipstick on the collar of his white shirt.
"They're already asleep Ambrose. Come back tomorrow" she shut the door.
Ambrose knocked once again. He knew he had messed up and she was angry. "What do you want?"
" I'm sorry " that wasn't enough.
"Like I said Ambrose come back tomorrow, and please try to be early"
" Larissa, what were you gonna say before Cindy walked in on us " Ambrose desperately wanted to know.
"Something I was going to regret for the rest of my life. Goodnight Ambrose. Go home"
"I'm not with Cindy anymore. I broke up with her."
"Makes sense. Cindy hates pink lipstick"
Ambrose was confused. "What are you talking about Larissa?"
"The lipstick on the collar of your shirt". Ambrose mentally cursed himself.
"Personally I don't care who you spend time with. We're not married and we're not dating so it's not my business. However it becomes my business when you choose to hang out with your whores instead of being here with your children who wanted to meet you so badly by the way. Lisa actually cried when you didn't show up. What kind of father are you?" Larissa was disappointed in Ambrose. His true character always managed to reveal itself. He hadn't changed, he was never going to change.
"I'll make it up to you"
"You've to make it up to them not me. Tomorrow, same time. Don't be late. Goodnight"
She closed the door and locked it.
Ambrose felt bad for what he had done. Larissa was never going to take him back. Not after what had happened in his office.
