"Keith, I can't be with you anymore. I don't love you. I'm in love with Ambrose" Larissa said to him. She felt so guilty, he could see it in her eyes.
"What did I do wrong?" He was helplessly in love with her.
"Nothing. You're a great guy Keith. Its just that Ambrose has this personality that's so exciting. He's confident and charming. He is super sweet" she was hurting him. Her words were like daggers stabbing the life out of his heart.
"Ambrose doesn't love you the way I do. He's gonna hurt you" she didn't believe him. "Larissa please don't do this to me" he felt like dying. Larissa was the only girl he had ever loved and she was leaving him for someone better.

Keith loved Larissa back then. He still did, he never stopped loving her. He never understood why after all those years she still had an effect on him. He couldn't think of any reason in the world to hate her.
When he got the call he didn't expect it to be Ambrose. He despised Ambrose but business was business. He needed the money. He was even more shocked when the person he was investigating turned out to be Larissa. The very same girl who drove him crazy and broke his heart back in high school. He hadn't seen or spoke to her in years. Ambrose had given him the phone number. He thought it would be useful.
He had all the information Ambrose needed but chose to hold back. He only told him her name. He wanted to protect her, from him.
