"Kai!"

"What is it that you want?!" Tsk, short-tempered as usual.

"Kai, stop raising your voice around her." Just around me? What is that supposed to mean?

Wait, no. Disregard that thought, (Y/n).

"Jeesh, I just want to ask if you're heading to college. I already know that Miwa is, so how about you?"

His expression is unreadable. Was he having second thoughts? Damn, I shouldn't have asked.

"N-Nevermi-"

"I'm still planning to."

And now they walk away. Fine, atleast I got the answer that I wanted.

For a moment there...His stoicism faded...And he showed an expression for once...Not because of Vanguard.

Better go home...Mom and Dad might be worried.

Should I answer, or reject?

Alright, missed call. It's still 11:53 AM...

Okay, who's gonna call me this time?

Miwa. Jeez, so persistent.

Another missed call.

*ring*

Ugh. Wait...It's not Miwa...

...Kai.

"H-Hello?"

"Where the hell are you?!" Wtf. Who is he to care?

"Why does it matter?"

"You were absent for a week. A goddamn week!"

"And why does it matter?!" Sorry for raising my voice, Kai.

"Everyone is worried about you!"

"So what if the-"

"I am worried about you!" What?

Dead silence.

"So please...Go to school already...And explain...Sorry if I raised my voice at you."

I never heard his voice ever so soft, with any emotion at all.

"...I understand if you're mad at me. Bye."

What just happened?

He was worried, he says...He asks for an explanation...Should I call him back?

Alright...I will...

*ring* "Hello?"

"K-Kai...You want an explanation, right?"

"Not necessary, but if you're willing to." Should I tell him? "Hello? (Y/N)?"

"S-still here."

"You seem to be spacing off. Well whatever, maybe you aren't convinced that you can tell me. Just remember that I'll listen to you."

"Al-Alright." He's right...

"Oh, and (Y/N)?" What's with the tone of urgency?

"What?"

"Aishiteru. Take care." And he hangs up.

Wait, what did he say? I'm just hearing things, am I not?

*beep* A text message...

And one last thing, I'm still deciding whether I want to go to college or not. I may sound weird, but, I can't stand being away from you. I'm serious, even though this is the first time I opened up to anyone.
