"A Change of Heart" AsaKi (Asaka x Toshiki) One-shot

Asaka was confused. She was supposed to be happy that Ren finally noticed her. She was supposed to be happy when Ren finally asked her out.

But she wasn't. Now, she was uncertain about her feelings for Ren. She had a change of heart.

Asaka doesn't love Ren as much as before right now. Her feelings for him had changed. Now, it wasn't Ren that she had her eye on.

It was the least expected person whom she had her eye on. Even Asaka didn't expect that she would fall heads over heels for him.

She didn't expect that she would fall for Kai Toshiki. What does he have that made Asaka fall for him?

He was sarcastic, socially impaired, inconsiderate and stubborn. But that's not it.

He had this side that he rarely shows to anyone. Kai was sweet, caring, concerned and he secretly watches over you, making sure that you're safe.

"ARGH!!" Asaka screamed in frustration. "Why does it have to be you, Kai?! Why?! It's so confusing!!" What she didn't know that somebody was eavesdropping outside her room in the organization.

"My long time crush finally noticed me, and yet I'm not so happy about it! Why did you show me that side of yours, Kai?!" She didn't notice the tears that were falling from her eyes.

She laid down on her bed, still thinking about Kai. "I'm not supposed to fall for you...You have Misaki...And yet..." She whispered, and she eventually fell asleep.

The next morning, Asaka woke up due to her ringtone. Somebody was giving her a call. She answered it without even glancing at the caller's id.

"Who's thi-" She was cut off.

"Meet me at the park later at 10." The ever so familiar voice interrupted her and immediately hung up.

Asaka's eyes widened. It was Kai who called. She rubbed her eyes as she got out of bed. It was already 8 AM in the morning.

She yawned as she glanced at the time. 'Wait, I overslept!' Asaka exclaimed in her mind. It wasn't that she overslept, it's just she woke up late since she usually wakes up at 6 AM.

She was ready by 9:45. Asaka first went to Ren's office, to ask permission since he might look for her later.

"Ren-sama?" She asked as she knocked on the door.

"Come in." She heard Ren call from inside.

"Ahm...Ren-sama? May I go somewhere? I'll be back by 12, I promise." Asaka asked. She saw Ren nod slightly.

"Where...Are you going?" Ren asked her as he saw her. She was wearing a blue skirt, a black polo shirt and a blue jacket, and some blue and black Vans. It was a little bit too casual for him.

"To the park. So...May I?" Asaka asked again and Ren smiled. He already understood why.

"Okay!" Asaka was shocked as his reply. Usually he would question her some more, but this time he didn't. 'Ren may wear that facade of a smile, but I'm pretty sure he's hiding something.'

She thought as she left his office. Asaka just shrugged as she left the organization.

She saw Kai under a Cherry Blossom. She didn't expect it since she knows that Kai would always be lying down on his favorite park bench.

He was sitting and leaning at the tree, and was seemingly asleep. Asaka just sat beside him and waited for Kai to wake up since she doesn't want to be rude.
