Nervously, Darcy tied the laces of her White Converse shoes. Ashton offered to drop Darcy off at school today, that were three sentences more than usual. He probably followed Lola on Twitter and realized what was going on, and how alone Darcy was.
"Good Luck." He said when she opened the door. She gave him a weak smile and then closed the door and walked through the big doors of the school.
Nothing was different yet, so she nervously walked to her locker, playing with the hem of her sweater. She quickly put some books in her locker and then immediately headed to class. She wanted to be in the sight of the teachers as much as possible so that if something happened, they could save her.
Lola walked in quickly after, smirking widely at Darcy who kept a straight face. Cara walked in just a few seconds later, not even looking at Darcy. The class started and Darcy tried not to pay attention to the continuous whispering happened behind her. Cara and Lola made sure to annoy her as much as possible.
Another period rolled by, and it was time for lunch. Darcy quickly headed to her locker to get her lunch box, which she realized she forgot. In all the stress of the morning she forgot to grab the box. Darcy cussed under her breath, because now she had to go to the cafeteria to get lunch and Lola and Cara were probably there.
Full of nerves, Darcy walked in to the cafeteria, trying to not pull a lot of attention. She waited in line and picked her food when it was her turn. When she finished paying, she looked through the crowd, but it was too late, Lola had already spotted her and was already smirking.
Darcy widened her eyes, tried to leave but she was too late. "Irwin! Don't be shy!" Lola laughed and walked over. A few people looked to see what was going on. Darcy could see the whole group of Luke, Calum and Maxwell looking up.
The two girls walked over and smiled at Darcy. They then threw down the food Darcy was holding. This made even more people paying attention to them. "Stop." Darcy spat. Of course, she was dumb to realize that she caused everything that would happen by herself. "What did you say?" Cara asked, smirking.
"I said stop." Darcy said, proud and ready to argue. "Bullying girls does not make you better. It is pathetic and stupid. I thought you would understand after being suspended for two weeks." Darcy said and some people were now beginning to cheer.
"Excuse me, you all did this to yourself." Lola said, laughing. "No, you are just pathetic." Darcy said, feeling more confident by the second. "Remember that one time your boyfriend was cheating on you, that makes you pathetic." Cara laughed.
"Remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?" Darcy spat, angrily looking the two girls. "You should really take a chill pill, why don't you ask Luke to calm you down. Oh wait, he left you as well." Lola laughed.
That hurt, Darcy was quiet for a second but spat back again. "You two are pathetic, making my boyfriend cheat on me and then recording a sex tape. Just grow up and realize that what you are doing belongs in middle school!" Darcy yelled.
The whole cafeteria was quiet, everybody was staring at the three girls yelling at each other. Everybody wanted to know what would happen next.
"That's it, bitch." Lola said. Before Darcy could react, Lola had given her a punch in her eye. She heard people gasping around her and she fell to the ground. "That's right, you'll be alone no matter what, who has your back now?" Cara laughed.
"We do!" Calum yelled out of nowhere. Michael followed behind Calum and they helped Darcy stand up straight again. Michael held on to Darcy to support her because she was a bit dizzy. "I would hit you back, but since people assume you are a girl I won't." Calum said.
He grabbed Darcy's bag from the ground and the three left the quiet cafeteria and headed to the nurse. When they walked in, the nurse was surprised to see who got hit. "Darcy, oh dear lay down." She said politely and helped Darcy.
Michael sat at the end of the bed, Darcy's legs laying on his lap and Calum sat besides the bed, holding on to her hand. "Thank you, guys." Darcy said. "I thought you guys would never speak to me ever again." She said. Calum gave her hand a little squeeze. "We're here now, we won't leave."
After the nurse had healed the wound, Darcy could leave. Sadly she was not able to, because she was called to the headmaster's office. Michael and Calum promised to stay outside. Darcy slowly walked in to see her mother, Lola, Cara and their mothers as well. "Mum?" She asked and she nodded. "Sit down honey."
Darcy walked over to the empty chair and sat down. "Oh my goodness look at your eye." She said, making sure the headmaster could see it.
"Well, ladies." He started, "There is only one easy way to solve this." He said while scribbling things down on two papers. "You two are expelled for harassing a student physically, emotionally and online." He said.
Cara and Lola both dropped their jaws, they were not expecting this. Their mothers, who Darcy knew pretty well, were nodding understandingly. "You have to clean out your lockers by the end of the day, here are the letters and there will be a digital note in both of your systems. Have a good day." He smiled.
Darcy liked the way he said it, slightly sarcastic. "Darcy, as for you, we want to give you our apology." He said in all seriousness. Darcy nodded and thanked him. "Your absence of the last few weeks will be approved so you won't have a chance of suspension." He said and Darcy was in her head thanking god. "This also adjusts to Mister Hemmings, who has been absence as well for the same reason."
"Thank you, sir." She said, got up and shook his hand. "As for the rest of today, you are free to get some rest." He said.
Darcy thanked him again and then they got out of the office. They walked in to the hallway to see four nervous boys waiting on her.
