"Darcy I'm leaving, I'll be back around three." Ashton spoke, Darcy looked at the clock hanging in the kitchen which said it was almost twelve. "Okay, bye!" She yelled and walked over to the living room. She laid down on the couch and heard the door shut. The television was playing something she wasn't paying attention to and scrolling through her phone.
It was Wednesday and she was free from school because of the things that happened the day before. Darcy did not feel as dizzy anymore, but her eye did hurt a lot when she did not take her pain killers on time.
The bell rang and Darcy thought it would probably be Ashton who forgot something like his keys, so she got up and walked over to the door. "What did you fo-" She started saying but she stopped when she realized it was Luke.
"You need to lea-" Darcy said but she got cut off by him. "Stop. Just stop." Luke said, his pushed his body through the door and walked in to the house. Darcy slowly followed him, furrowing her eyebrows. "Luke what are you doing." She said while he sat down on the couch. He was holding his head in his hands.
"Stop with acting like nothing happened!" He yelled and jumped up from where he was seated. "Don't yell!" Darcy said back. "I can only remember parts, like you tucking me in. But when I woke up you were gone." He said while he sat back down on the couch.
"Luke will you please calm down?" Darcy said, sitting down in the chair opposite of the couch. "No, stop it Darcy." Luke said, letting his head fall back. "You don't understand anything of what I'm going through!" He yelled again.
"Then help me understand!" Darcy yelled back at him now. He was shocked for a second because of her reaction but after a deep breath he helped her. Darcy pulled her legs in to a criss cross position, seeing she was still only wearing one of Luke's t-shirts and her legs were bare.
"You twist my mind around every time I see you, first you hate me then you kiss me and then you ignore me. Next up you hate me again, we cuddle and you ignore me yet again. The same happened last night! Now tell me why can you not admit your feelings for me?" Luke began to tell her.
Darcy sat there, playing with her fingers, scared to answer. "I-" She started but he cut her off.
"God damn Darcy!" Luke yelled, standing up. "Why can't you see that I am head over heels in love with you!" He yelled and then sat back down on the couch. Darcy had gotten up by now and stood there with her jaw dropped. She could not believe what he just said.
"I am truly sorry for leaving you like that last night, I can not get in trouble with Ashton anymore. I am also sorry for what I am about to say, but you need to leave." Darcy said, and stared at the boy on the couch. She literally broke his heart.
He slowly nodded and got up again. "If that's what you want me to do." He said, he stood right in front of her now and kissed her forehead. Then, he turned his back and left the living room. A few seconds later, she heard the front door open and close.
"Calum can you come over?" Darcy whispered through the phone, after debating wether or not he should miss school, he eventually did. After about ten minutes of waiting, Calum walked through the door.
Darcy was sitting with her knees pulled to her chest on the couch. "What happened?" He asked her while he sat down next to her and pulled her in to his chest. "You need to answer my questions, and you need to be honest." Darcy said, she stared in to his eyes and he nodded.
"Okay."
"Why does Ashton hate Luke so much?" She said and Calum catched his breath. He let go of Darcy and got up again. "Okay, I really want to help you and Luke out but that goes beyond my right of speech. You need to ask Ashton about that, it's his job to tell you." He said, staring at Darcy.
"It's not like he will answer me, now come on!" Darcy said and pulled Calum's hand. "I won't tell him about your crush on Juliet." She smirked and Calum widened his eyes. "Wait is it about her?" She said and stared at him.
Juliet was Ashton's girlfriend from when he was sixteen, for some reason they broke up. Ashton was heartbroken about it but he would not tell Darcy why. For the last three years she had not known why and she felt like Calum knew more.
"You- you need to ask Ashton about that." He stuttered and then got up from the couch again. "No, you tell me!" Darcy yelled but Calum shook his head. "Ashton needs to tell you, sorry." He said, then walked out of the living room and left the house.
