Chapter 33 | Winning the Tournament

Reader POV

Its been a few weeks since Lady Acuda appeared & everyone is loving her! I'm getting a lot of fans & some even cosplay as me, cute really. Other then that, the tournament is tomorrow & we've been training our butts off to win

That girl I roasted, her name is Angelina & she's playing for the Wild Dogs. Suits her cause her & her friends are complete bitches, can't wait to knock her on her ass

We were at the tournament & there was a lot of competitors, I take a deep breath & we all walk into the changing room to change into our uniforms. We walked out & some of the other teams wished us luck, that was until Angelina came up

"We meet again Poser Sharks, I can't wait to face you in the finals. If, you make it, that is." her & her friend cackle

"Whatever you say Wild Bitches."

"Can't wait to see your reaction when we win that huge trophy!"

"Its gonna be marvelous!" she stomped her foot on the ground& stormed off while her followers went after her

"Man she reminds me a lot of Chloe." we waited for our turn so we went over the strategies with Mr Joshua, we all nodded in agreement when we were called up

Time Skip / Lazy *current time 00:06*

We were in the finals & just like Angelina said, we were facing each other. When we were on the court I instantly made eye contact with her. They were serving the ball so their setter hit it to our side

Cid caught it & hit it to their side, they spiked it but Opal, Onyx & Max blocked it. Our libero Cid caught it & when it was high enough I spiked it hard enough, no one on their side caught it

"Point to the Phantom Sharks!" I smirk at Angelina who looked taken aback at how strong I was. They served it again & we easily hit it back, it went on for awhile, that was when our decoy spiker, which was Sam, spiked the ball quickly & no one was able to catch it

"Point 2 to the Phantom Sharks!"

"Nice one Sam!"

"Thanks!" I saw that Angelina growled at her teammates. Time skip to a few more rounds & we were on 26 while they we on 27, we need two more points to win while they need one

"Okay ladies, your just two points behind but don't fear. When Cid gets the ball, I want Sam to pass it to [Y/N] but if the block it & they spike it to our side, Opal, Onyx & Max, block it! Got it?"

"Yes coach!" we went back onto the court & Cid was setting, she served the ball & they instantly spike the ball but luckily our three beat blockers blocked it. It was still on there side so they hit it to us but I hit it back over

It went on like that for awhile until they're ace spiker spiked it & Cid was barely able to catch it, but luckily she did. I ran near the edge & Sam passed it towards me, where I slammed the ball to their side, & no one got it

"The Phantom Sharks are one point away from winning the tournament!"

"I can just taste the victory!"

"The sweet taste of victory!" it was the last game & victory was just around the corner. They serve the & Opal hit it back over, their decoy spiker slammed the ball way to hard it hit Max in the face which made her get a bloody nose

"Max!" we run over to her & I was able to catch her before she fell on the ground

"Max! Are you okay?!"

"Uh huh~! I'm perfectly fine! Lets win this thing!"

"No no, your going to rest." we walked over to the bench & put a ice pack to her head

"Someone has to sub for her."

"Its either Jade or Amora."

"I-I'll do it, if it means we win!"

"Nice one Amora, come on!" she was the setter & she was pretty good at it. She served the ball to Sam was slammed the ball to their side but their libero caught it, who passed it to their ace & they spiked it hard but luckily Onyx blocked it

Cid passed it to me & I spiked it to them but when I did Angelina blocked it

"Its time for our win." I quickly got back onto the ground & ran to where they were gonna spike it so, Amora & I blocked

"Think again Angelina." Cid caught it & passed to Sam, I ran to the edge again as fast as I could & as Sam passed it to me I spike it. Angelina tried to block it again but she failed, causing her to fall on her ass & make us... the winners

"& the winners of this annual volleyball tournament is the Phantom Sharks!" I start panting but the others gave me a group hug

"We won [Y/N]!"

"& its all thanks to you!"

"Its thanks to us!" we went to where the trophy was & actual reporters were there, taking photos of us & asking questions

"So which country do you represent?!"

"We represent France/Paris!"

"How old are you 8?!"

"Um, from 15 - 18!"

"Is this your first time winning in a tournament?!"

"Yes!"

"Miss Kaige, you gave the winning shot so, is there anything you would like to say?!" I grab the mic off them & look at the camera

"I wanna give a shout out to my five best friends named Marinette, Nathaniel, Alya, Nino & Adrien back in Paris!"

Time Skip

"Hey you guys, I was bored & I found this!" I loom over Jade's shoulder

"Beach City, have fun & relax in our wonderful city. Should we go,"

"We should!"

"Going to the beach relaxes the muscles."

"Can we go Mr Joshua~!"

"Well... you girls deserve it so, yes."
