Chapter 41 | I'm Not Fit to be a Hero

Third Person POV

[Y/N] was trembling as tears appeared in the corners of his eyes, the other two stare at her with widened eyes

'Did she really... kill someone?'

She fell to her knees as the tears started falling from her eyes, she tried wiping them away but more would replace the ones that fell. Chat or Ladybug were going to help her but three sandy figures appeared, which made [Y/N] look up

"You wanna see what she did? I know I do." the event that [Y/N] hated started playing right in front of her & she started freaking out, the girl died, she was angry & killed the man but the sand figure of her stood still

"I couldn't save her! I let her die & then I let my anger get the best of me & I... I killed him!" when she looked up, the sand figure charged towards her

"Lady Acuda!" she stumbled backwards but brought her scythe up with one hand while the other had her face in it

"I thought I moved passed this event... but I haven't! I can never forgive myself!" she slashed the sand figure of her & it dissolved "I'm not fit to be a hero!" she grabbed her necklace "I don't want to be a hero anymore!" before she could rip it off, Chat tackled her to the ground

"What are you doing?!" she clutched onto her necklace tightly

"I don't want to be Lady Acuda anymore, not what I did back there...!"

"That's in the past [Y/N]... & it was an accident! You know that you would never do such a thing!"

"But I did! & I can never forgive myself for doing such a thing!" the next thing calmed her down a bit, Chat kissed her. Her eyes widened as tears slipped from her eyes but kissed him back, he cupped her cheeks while wiping her tears away

"Please [Y/N]... you are a great superhero, don't ever doubt yourself." she smiles a little

"I'd hate to ruin your moment but... we still need to get rid of the akumatized civilian!"

"Oh, right." [Y/N] stood up & wiped the remaining tears away before gripping her scythe & smirking "I think its time I woke up from this nightmare."

"There's our Acuda!" Black Nightmare growled & [Y/N] noticed she was holding something, a music box, she smirked & pointed her scythe at Black Nightmare

"Its time for you to wake up!"

"Never!" she sent black sand at [Y/N], who spun her scythe around, cutting the sand into tiny pieces. She charged at Nightmare, who backed up, & then did a cart wheel & kicked the music box out of her hand "No!"

"Yes!" Ladybug mashed the music box & before she could purify it, Acuda dashed towards it

"What are you doing [Y/N]?!" she lashed the akuma & when she stood up it was purified, the butterfly landed on the blade of the scythe & [Y/N] smiled while they look at her with widened eyes

"What? Did I forget to tell you that your not the only one that can purify them?" they nod

"Yes, yes you did."

"Well, whops." they jump away & before [Y/N] could, she heard someone cry, she turned around & saw the little girl wearing a pretty blue dress "Sweetheart, whats wrong?" she asked as she went over to her & started rubbing her back

"My mummy & daddy are gone!" she yelled as she hugged her, [Y/N]'s eyes widened "& before they did they gave me a music box!" she looked over at it & picked it up, she opened it & it started playing a melody, a beautiful one I may add

"This is such a pretty music box, we wouldn't want it getting lost would we?" she shook her head

"N-No..." she gave the music box to the little girl before standing up, helping the little girl stand up as well

"Do you have anyone to stay with?" she slowly nodded

"My big brother & our aunt."

"Well sweetheart, lets go home so we won't worry them even more." she nods again, this time with a smile forming "By the way, if you can keep a secret, my name is [Y/N]."

"You mean the pretty lady that's going to marry Adrien Agreste?" that made her blush

"I wouldn't say marry..." the little girl giggled

"I won't tell anyone, my name is Amy Lee!"

"Lets go home then, Amy." she picked her up then jumped a great height, Amy told her where she lived & [Y/N] got there in no time. She tucked her to bed & played the music box right next to her bed before jumping out the window & to Nino's house

Adrien POV

"Where is she?"

"Probably dealing with the akumatized civilian. Anyways, what happened out there?" Marinette & I exchange glances before looking away "Was it something bad?"

"Pretty much, [Y/N]'ll explain it when she gets back... probably." speak of the devil, [Y/N] had opened a window & jumped in. She transformed back to normal & Ame flew around her, she then fell to her knees

"[Y/N]!" we all gather around her & notice that she was blushing with sweat forming & she was breathing rather heavily "Whats wrong?!" Nathaniel put a hand to her forehead but jerked it back quickly

"She's burning up!"

"How?!" we all shrug
