Aaron's POV:

Jealousy.

Only someone who has experienced jealousy, can truly know the meaning of heartbreak. The feeling you get when someone else has something you can't ever have. A feeling that strips you down to your core, and burns holes in your skin.

Smothering the flame of love, as you watch from the stands. Jealousy is an emotion, which refers to the thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over something of great personal value. Jealousy often consists of a combination of emotions such as anger, resentment, and helplessness.

Helplessness that erases everything you thought you knew about yourself. Breaking you down, till you can't stand. Leaving you on the ground, to cry yourself to sleep. Letting darkness eat away what you thought could be. Letting memories dance through your head, as you lay alone. Wishing for a chance. Any chance.

But it can't happen. She's gone from your arms and the only thing you can do day-by-day, is wonder what you could have done.

Hoping that by some miracle she is thinking of me too. Feeling my broken heart, as it tugs at her chest. Begging at her knees, and pleading for her to stay. But she doesn't listen, and fades away. Leaving me alone again.

Leaving me for someone who doesn't understand you like I do. Someone who takes for granted of how soft her hands are. Someone who wouldn't even begin to love her the way I already do.

Oh the ways I would love her, she would never touch the ground. Flying high on my love, floating in my arms as I keep her safe. I'd be her soft blanket, wrapping her up and never letting her feel alone. The soft fingers that wipe away those beautiful tears. Keeping her close as I protect the stars in her eyes.

But she's pushed me away. Leaving me broken and knowing that my wishes will never become reality. Laying under all of my regrets like a blanket, as I let the smell of the sheets fill me. Lulling me to sleep, on tear stained pillows.
