Y/n's POV:

"Y/N!" Someone screamed over the rush of the cafeteria. I whipped my head around, looking over the sea of people.

Then smiling ear to ear as I saw my friend running towards me, her eyes gleaming. She pulled me into a hug, then took the seat next to me.

"You will never guess what just happened!" She squealed, her cheeks red.

"What?!" I say quickly. Watching her freak out as I stared wide eyed.

"Sam just asked me to prom!" She said quickly, covering her mouth when she finished. She smiled wider, as my mouth dropped. I pulled her into a hug, squeaking with her.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so happy for you!" I yelled, crushing her in our hug.

"Has anyone asked you yet?" She said, pulling her face out of my shoulder. My heart dropped a little, and I gave her a soft smile.

"Not yet." I say trying to look hopeful, even when I knew I wouldn't be asked. She gave me a small smile.

"It will soon." She smiled. I looked into her eyes nodding, when I noticed someone looking at us from behind her. I leaned to the left, and met a pair of eyes.

It was Aaron Carpenter. He seemed shocked that I caught him, and looked back to his friends awkwardly. His cheeks turning red as he looked back, giving me a smile. I smiled back, before my friend followed my gaze.

She squealed, hitting my arm excitedly. But I didn't notice her, I was trapped in Aaron's gaze. He didn't look away, and I couldn't seem to either.

He winked, before then turning around and picking up his lunch. He put his lunch bag into his backpack, patted the friend closest to him on the back and motioned over to me.

His friend made eye contact with me and looked up at Aaron with a huge smile. He must have made a joke, because Aaron turned away laughing.

All of a sudden I was turned around and had my friends hands in my face. She pinched my cheeks and fixed my makeup and hair quickly.

"Ok be nice," She whispered. "Smile. Be happy. Complement him. Tell me everything later." She giggled, before hugging me quickly and hurrying away to a table across the room.

I looked at her shocked and she playfully waved, as I gave her the stink eye.

"Hey." A voice said, making my gaze snap up in front of me. My cheeks burned as a large figure stood above me. A smile stretched across my face, and he smile back.

"Hey."
