The background music is playing. The couples are not dancing, they're leaving, all of them except us. We were left standing in the middle, alone. The music is still playing. Her head is resting on my shoulder, my face is buried in her neck. Our hands intertwined together. My grip on her waist is not that tight, but its enough not to let her go.
Today is the Christmas ball dance. We never held anything like this for the past years. This is the first time. All of the town people attended. All of the people danced. All of the people are happy, except for us.
Us, the two people in Breakville who are sad. The two people in Breakville who are broken just because of a one emotion : Love.
What is love anyway? Ito ba yung pakiramdam na bumabalot sa atin kapag sinurpresa ka ng iyong mga kaibigan. Ito ba yung nararamdaman natin tuwing ipinag luluto tayo ng masarap na pagkain ng ating Ina. Ito ba yung lumilitaw na lang basta kapag may nakita kang ikinatuwa mo. O ito yung isang bagay na sa isang iglap, kayang kaya tayong pabagsakin. Kayang kaya tayong sirain at bawiin ang lahat ng nabuo mo. Ang nag iisang emosyon na nag bibigay ng madaming pakiramdam : lungkot, kasiyahan, katuwaan, inspirasyon, at sakit.
Ang nag iisang emosyon na para sa lahat ng tao ay mali. Hindi ko man alam kung anu ang tunay na ibig sabihin nito, hindi ko man alam kung anu ang tama at mali sa pag iibigan, hangga't masaya ako, hangga't nabubuhay ako, hangga't tumitibok ang puso ko handa akong ipag laban ang lahat. Handa akong isakripisyo ang lahat malaman lang ang totoo.
