Oh my holy anime!
But look at him!
*****************
Isshiki's POVI sighed as I pat the sobbing girl's head, comforting her at the same time listening to her rants and wails. Her arms around my chest kept getting tighter and tighter, and I don't think she'll ever let go for a while. I'm praying that she won't crack my ribs on the process. She planted her face on the crook of my neck, sniffling and sobbing. My problem is she's shaking like crazy. Her clothes, torn and tattered from climbing into my room from the outside a while ago but eventually fell hard, landed on some twisted vines with thorns.
I was awakened from the sound of her fall and took a peek from the window and saw her tangled figure. I quickly put on my apron and rushed outside to help her up. Poor girl, she was probably scared to death. She looked so pale and worried. Looking at her state, I was about to carry her but she forcefully refused, so I guided her to the kitchen. And then she suddenly attacked me into a hug where she didn't want to let go despite the compromising position we're in. We both fell to the floor but I managed to adjust my position to a more comfortable one.Her nose and cheeks were flushed red from too much crying and her voice is getting raspier by the second. I don't know which is worst but she's genuinely hurt at the moment.
"Father isn't even answering his phone! *sniff* Wha- I was waiting for hours! Hours, Isshichi!! I was about to steal Dojima-san's car... *sniff* But- but- Father isn't answering my calls! No one is answering my calls! And- and- On my way here, I swear! I swear someone is following me! I got the chills, Isshicchi! I haven't got the chills since they- they- Isshicchi! Father! I- I-" Then she started sobbing again. I can feel her tears on my neck.
"Kurumi-chan...please calm down. You have to calm down." I said in a gentle manner but my effort was futile. She's late on coming back. I'd like to ask her but from her state right now, I decided not pry.
"What's happening in here?" I turned to where the voice have came from. Fumio-san was standing on the doorway. She also must have heard Kurumi's fall. I just gave her a knowing look then to the girl who is currently glued on top of me.
"Kurumi? What happened to you?"She rushed to where we are and put her hand on Kurumi's shoulder. She flinched at the touched but the good thing is she suddenly stopped sobbing. She looked at the hand on her shoulder then to Fumio-san and she finally let go of me.
"Come on, dear. Sit on the chair and let me get you some water." Fumio-san assisted the girl.
A few minutes of silence have passed, the three of us are still sitting in the kitchen. Kurumi have calmed down but she's still pale as ever. Now that I think about it, she's even paler than the last time I saw her. Her facial expression is grim and full of fear.
"Dear, we were so worried. Can you tell us what really happened? " Fumio-san started.
"I- I was waiting at the resort for hours. I tried to call my driver and father for how many times but it always redirected to voicemail. Of course I was getting worried. I was alone and the staff at the hotel said that they have already dispatched their only available car. I even asked Dojima-san for help but he couldn't do anything, that's why I threatened him to take me home or else I'll trash his car."
Trash his car?
"He finally agreed and he had called one of his staff to drive me home using his car. But the guards at the gate didn't allow the car to enter the presmise, something about security measures." She looked down at intertwined fingers and continued.
"Of course I had no choice but to walk. I tried calling anyone again but...no one is still answering. Even Isshicchi's phone.""What? You could have asked one of the guards to accompany you on your way here, Kurumi-chan. Do you know what time it is? It's almost eleven." I asked her. Something is wrong here. Something is definitely wrong.
"I must agree with Isshiki-kun, Kurumi." Fumio-san said.
"They said that they shouldn't abandon their posts without the word from the higher ups. That's why I told them that I'm a close aquaintance of the director but they didn't even bat an eyelash. I had no choice. For the first time walking alone in the dark, I was scared. And I got the feeling that someone is following me, that someone is looking at me. I started getting goosebumps and chills that's why I started to panic and ran. I stumbled a few times but I couldn't stop running." She starts shaking again. I stood up from my chair and went beside her. I held her cold and trembling hands on mine.
"Hey, you're safe now. You just have to rest. It's been a long day for you."
"You should take her to her room, Isshiki-kun." I nodded.
"And Kurumi, rest well okay? We'll talk about it tomorrow when you're at your best state. I'm sure you're just tired." She also nodded then I guided her into her room.I looked at her in worry. I hadn't been a big help to her. She must have sensed my distressed.
"Isshicchi...I'm worried about father. I've been trying to reach him. I hope nothing bad happened or else I won't forgive myself." She said in a small voice.
"Maybe he's just busy, Kurumi-chan. You'll have to try again tomorrow. Okay? And besides. I know something that will cheer you up." I gave her a smile, hoping to cheer her up.
I opened the door to her room and lead her inside.
She just looked at me with curiousity. She just changes her mood from one to another in just a second and I still wonder how she does it. She's been sobbing her heart out a while ago."How about waking up early tomorrow and I'll show you?" I stayed at the door.
"You're making me work, aren't you?" She raised her eyebrow. Unidentified emotion dancing in her silver orbs.
"You'll see. Then, good night Kurumi-chan. Make sure to rest well, okay? Ja mattane." I closed her door knowing she'll be alright.
She always changes.
That girl is unpredictable as always.
But something bothers me. Her intuition is always right, that means it's possible that someone is really following her.
