Chapter Twenty•Two - While He Is Gone

Rey was lonely to say the least . Ben's family had to go back home since they had been there too long.

She was alone in this big fancy palace. If Ben where here she would be in his office , sucking him off while he tried to read a report . Or they'd be in throne room taking each other .

She sighed , oh she missed him dearly , she just wanted him to come home . He had called three times and they had been terribly short .

"Your majesty ?" Phasam said .

Rey turned from the window , she had been staring out that window like a love struck wife waiting for her husband to return for war. "Yes ?"

"His majesty just signed the treaty he will be leaving tomorrow afternoon and should be here in about three days if the weather allows it ... the tracks are awfully chilled due to the snow"  she said .

"Thank you " Rey said and dismissed her . She was left alone again and grabbed the big fur coat he had left behind for her .

Every night for the past 5 days she has slept with it wrapped around her , took keep her warm but feel like her husband was there .

It smelt like him , rich cologne and the faint smell of ink and his cigar smoke .

How she longed for him to be on their balcony , smoking the cigar's that made him taste like smoke and mint.

Rey found his spare reading glasses and almost cried herself to sleep the night he left .

Truly she didn't know why she was so ... attached to him... she hates him ... and he hates her ... they just have really good sex that's all.

But her heart didn't make it just that.

She thought so many times of how that night when she found out he was Ben and not Kylo while they were insulting each other , he was reaching his orgasm and said "I fucking love you" .

Maybe he was just saying it in the heat of the moment , maybe he was just filling her head with lies but she couldn't help but feel something for her raven haired spouse .

How his smile was rare yet beautiful and how his gorgeous hair looked in the moonlight when he was on the balcony , cigar in hand and glass of rum .

Or when he was making stupid jokes and how hard he would try to get her to laugh , she ended up laughing at the end ... but that was just to spare his feelings .

Her personal favorite thing about Ben was how much he cared about his people . He had stayed up for almost three days to write out a new law that would tax the wealthy and go easy on the poor .

Her heart pounded with sadness , she just wanted his arms around her and his lips on hers.

Rey was curled in his fur coat as she watched the city below her go about their day .

The door to their room opened "I'm not eating dinner tonight Maz, I have no appetite " Rey replied joy turning her head .

"I would hope you would be so kind to eat with me sweetheart" she heard a strong voice say.

She turned her head to see Ben , his navy suit nicely pressed and his dark coat on his shoulders .

"Ben !" Rey said and ran from the balcony to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck , pulling his body down to her much shorter and smaller one.

He hugged her closely and she had
Smiled against his chest . "Oh Ben I missed you terribly !" She sniffled.

"I'm back and next time you're coming with me ... to hell with parliament " he said and kissed the top of her head . He allowed his petite wife to hang onto him for a moment , he too missed being in her thin slender arms .

"It's been absolutely hell without you" she told him.

"I felt the same" he admitted "are you wearing my fur coat ?" He asked with a bit of a chuckle .

"Every night since you left ... and breakfast ... and lunch and dinner ... and when I missed you ... or I was cold" Rey said with a small laugh behind her voice .

"Well... I would be lying if I'm saying that I didn't take one of your scarves and kept it in my coat pocket while I was in meetings" he told her . "I slept with it next to my pillow as well"

"What are you doing back so soon ? Not that I'm complaining "

"I finished the meetings early ... powering through them ... I told the staff to tell you I would be home in three days to surprise you sweetheart"

"Oh Ben !" She threw her arms around him again to hug him , she stood on her toes and then kissed his full lips .

"Oh I missed your kisses " he said , he sounded like a love struck teenage boy but he didn't care .

"Me too" she smiled running her hand down his jaw .

"I brought you something " he said walking from her .

"You didn't have too " Rey said taking  a seat on the small sofa that laid in the living room of their suite .

"Yes I did" he smiled and brought out a beautiful box . He opened it and then he pulled out a red ruby necklace .

"Oh my ... Ben ... this is so ... gorgeous .. oh I can't -"

"Yes you can and you will sweetheart ... promise me that you'll wear this necklace at all times ? Please"

"Of course " she said and lifted her hair up so he could fasten it .

She turned back to him and kissed him . "Oh Ben ... I missed you don't ever go away like that again ! That's an order !"

"Of course !" He said and kissed her , tackling her on the sofa .with his sweet kisses. He was peppering her face with cute little pecks .
