Chapter Four - Meeting In The Square

"Marriage ... in two days Finn !" Rey said happily , her hand in his as they looked around the busy town square .

"Mrs. Reyhanne Storm ... I like that don't you ?"

"I do " she smiled "Finn... when we have saved the farm ... could we move away ... to a big city ! Perhaps Naboo ?"

"I don't know Rey ... our who lives are here" he said.

"But it's something new ... and ... I've always wanted to get out of here... I want to see Naboo -"

"I understand Rey but ... it's too expensive there and my family and yours in here in Jakku"

"It's not that far from Jakku ... maybe the only half a day's journey" she sighed softly.

"Rey... I'm sorry but I don't think it would be wise of us to leave Jakku"

"Finn I've lived here for 18 years ... I've been everywhere in Jakku... please"

"No Rey... its final" he said and kissed her cheek then walked inside his own house leaving her out in the cold .

Rey kicked a rock that was on the street and began to walk home . "Stupid Finn" she groaned .

She looked around Jakku, she knew everything here . All the stores, all the streets , all the homes.

She knew who lived where and how long they've lived there.

"I just want something more than this" she sighed taking a seat on the fountain in town square, which has since frozen over due to the cold Russian winter air.

"Miss Kenobi" she turned and saw Monsieur Ren.

"Monsieur... can I help you ?" She asked standing up .

"Why are you in town square so late ?"

"Why are you in Jakku ?" She asked folding her hands over her chest.

"I asked you a question first Miss Kenobi" he said with a bit of a smirk .

"So did I " she put her chin up to meet his gaze .

"Very well... I'm in Jakku , we're planning on buying plots of land and turning them into military bases..."

"What types of plots of land?" She asked.

"Old farms that aren't doing well... there's one , this dairy farm , that belongs to some old family and they can't pay their taxes according to Plutt so I'll be purchasing it the second it goes on the market"

"What? A dairy farm ?" Rey asked her hands falling to the side of her body.

"Yes ... about half a mile north , there's a large well on the property that we could use tap in for water -"

"That farm ? The farm with a red cattle house and grey fence ?"

"That's the one" he said proudly .

"Ugh !" She yelled throwing her hands in frustration. "You don't care about your people ! You're ! You're a monster !" She yelled stomping away from the tall man.

He grabbed her by the arm and she turned "let me go !" She struggled trying to free her arm from his tight strong grasp.

"Why is that farm so important ? Where's the historical information about it ? -"

"That's my family's farm..." she said looking down . He let her arm go and she ran off , going in the direction of her home.

"Rey you're all shaken up !" Her father said when she ran inside out of breath .

"Monsieur Ren !" She yelled "he's going to buy the property and turn it in to a military base and leave us on the streets !" She said out of breath .

"Rey what -"

"I need to marry Finn soon ... maybe this weekend I can call the pastor ... and everything should be okay" she took a deep breath.

"Oh Rey" her father wrapped his arms and hugged her "don't worry things will look up soon" he kissed his daughter's forehead .
