Chapter Thirty•Seven- The Royal Baby

She was in a bed with a doctor and two nurses by her side . "7 inches dilated ... it might be a little longer ... try and rest your majesty"

Rey sighed and began to take deep breaths . She knew Ben was right out the door , ear pressed against the door .

The nurses had forced him to leave , now she was alone . The nurses were prepping the blankets and such for her new child .

She heard murmurs from behind the door and then a yell and scream until Leia came in.

"He's angry that he can't come in but no men allowed not even the father" she rubbed her daughter-In-laws hands .

"Is he okay?" Rey asked .

"He's just moping ... the real important thing here is you" Leia said . "7 inches ... just maybe an hour or so till you push ... are you ready ?"

"To push ? I think so -"

"No Rey... to be come a mother"

"Oh... I ... I don't think so ... I don't know ... maybe ... I haven't really thought about it..."

"Don't worry honey ... you'll get the hang of it ... eventually... I didn't get the hang of it until Ben married you !" She joked and then kissed her forehead .

Another contraction hit and Rey squeezed Lisa's hand as the pain passed . "It's going to be okay..."

"On three you'll begin to push ..." the doctor said . Leia was holding her hand and Jessika was holding the other.

"Okay, one, two three push" the doctor instructed .

Rey grasped their hands as she began to push letting out a scream .

Ben was pacing outside the door . "AHHHHH!" His head shot up and he slammed his ear against the door .

"She'll be fine ... Rey's a strong woman" Poe said from his chair .

"AHHHHH !" Another scream and Ben growled .

"I'm going to get you some vodka ... you need it" Poe said and walked off .

Ben's chair was broken and his knees were on the floor as his ear was pressed tight against the door to hear the screams .

"Nothing is happening ! You need to push harder!"

"I can't" Rey cried "I'm tired ... I can't" she flopped her sweaty head on her pillow .

"Come on Rey you can do this" Jessika said .

"No I can't... please do it for me !" She seeped .

"Rey" Leia looked down at her "you can do this ... now push before I reach up there and pull this kid out myself !"

Rey nodded and began to push again and more screaming pounded through his ears .

His hand was trying to open the door but it was locked . His hands were in a fist .

"I CANT !" He heard her whine .

Ben slammed his fist dead through the door , causing a large whole to appear as the wood broke . He slammed over and over again as he made a path for himself .

He ran to Rey's side and Jessika gave him the hand she held . "Come on sweetheart" he said .

Rey began to cry more , the pain and the lack of sleep , she had been at this for 19 hours and it was taking a toll .

"Come on !" He said and kissed her forehead .

"I can see a head ... push !"

Ben looked down to between her legs as watched as his child came from her  body .

"It's a girl" the doctor said .

"Oh Rey" Ben's eyes were tearing up "oh honey ... she's beautiful"

He looked to see her flopped down head and her chest rising and failing heavily .

After she was wrapped in a soft pink blanket she was handed to Ben . "Oh my god she's so tiny" he gushed at his daughter .

"She's beautiful Rey" he said .

"She looks like Rey ... with your mop of hair" Leia said looking the baby.

"Rey... she's gorgeous" Jessika smiled on the other side of Ben .

"Little one ... this is someone who's very important to both of us ... Rey ... this is our daughter" he said walking to her and handing the little pink bundle .

Hazel eyes shot open to see her mother , a soft smile grew on the baby's face . Rey's face was glowing with pride and love as she held her daughter.

"We'll leave you two some time ..." Leia said and she and Jessika walked out with the doctor's and nurses .

"Oh Rey... she's so ... so honey " he kissed her forehead "I love you so much"

"She's beautiful isn't she ?" Rey asked .

"Like her mother " he said sitting on the edge of the bed next to her . "She needs a name"

"Aleskandra... Aleksandra Nicola Alessandra Palaptine Kenobi Skywalker Solo" Rey said .

"Aleksandra Nicola Alessandra ... I like that ... little Alek ..." he smiled and kissed Rey's lips . "I love you and our little Alek"

"I love you and her too"
