(Continuation of chapter 32)
I sat down in a chair in front of Bri's bathroom mirror, while she worked her magic on my hair and just about the time she'd finished, I received a text from Vincent, saying he was on his way and to be downstairs waiting for him.
I passed the message on to Bri and when she rolled her eyes at the bossiness of his text, I couldn't help but throw my head back and laugh. He could be bossy, but I loved that quality about him.
"There" Bri said, when she'd finished with my hair. "Do you need help with your makeup?" I shook my head no, thanked her with a hug and bounded off towards mine and Vincent's bedroom to finish getting ready.
I did a simple, light makeup of powder, light blush, eye liner, smoky eyes and nude lips, a dash of my perfume and I was ready for the dress.
It fit like it was made for my body and I was excited about how good it looked on me. Bri did well picking it out and I knew when the time came she would be my shopping buddy.
Grabbing my small clutch and heels, I headed downstairs to await the arrival of the most handsome man I'd ever known. My heart always picked up speed in anticipation of seeing him and I silently prayed that even when we reached his parents age, we would never lose that passion.
"Oh fiore!" Clarissa exclaimed when she saw me. "You look bellissimo, bella." I smiled and said "Grazie." We talked for a bit about this and that when I heard the side door open.
My God Vincent looked fine! He was in a black fitted suit and black tie, giving him an air of mystery and intrigue and at that very moment, I was ecstatic knowing that he was mine.
He made his way straight for me, his lips to my cheek. "Cara you look amazing" he whispered. I smiled at the compliment as I said "And you look incredibly handsome, Mr. Siranni." I already knew how much he loved when I addressed him like that.
Giving me that devilish smirk, he turned towards his mother and kissed her cheek. "Mama I trust you had a good day as well?" "Si, Vincenzo. It was a very good day." She winked at me as I nodded at her.
He chuckled saying "I see my mother and my fiancé are in league. Should I be worried?" He was joking, of course, but we both said no at the same time which caused us to laugh.
"Hmm" he said, not buying it for a moment, but having the good grace to let it go for now, he turned to me and said "Are you ready, baby?" I almost melted. I loved when he called me baby. Perhaps it was his accent, I didn't know, but it certainly did things to me.
"I am" I said softly, taking his offered hand. We told his mom goodbye, walked out of the house and into the awaiting car. When we got settled in the car and once we were on the road, I turned to Vincent and put my hand on his cheek.
"What is it baby?" He looked so amazing and at that very moment I was so glad he was mine. Shaking my head, I said "Nothing. I just needed to feel you and I want very much to kiss you."
"Then kiss me" was his response. I didn't need any more persuasion than that. When our lips met, it was sensual and needy, like it'd been months since we'd kissed.
"That feels so good, baby" he breathed against my lips. "It does, doesn't it?" I responded and then kissed him against this time I let my hand fall to his crotch, and groaned when I discovered how hard he was.
"God Vincent" I groaned. "I want you so bad" I hissed as I felt his hand travel up my dress and brush against my sex.
His body hummed at my declaration and then he said "Patience, baby. We have all evening and I for one am planning on taking my time with you in bed." His words made my body shiver.
He told me that we were nearing the restaurant, so I removed my hand, giving his erection time to go down and laying my head on his shoulder I whispered "I love you."
Lifting my chin, he said "I love you too, fiorella." Antonio informed Vincent that we were pulling into the restaurant and were preparing to valet.
Al Saraceno looked amazing and I couldn't wait to get in there and eat, I was starving. The hostess greeted us with a kind smile and told Vincent that our table was available and waiting for us.
We passed several people and couples that Vincent seemed to know but we didn't physically stop and talk to anyone until we almost reached our table.
The man stood, he was not as tall as Vincent but he certainly had the good looks and was built. He smiled at both of us before Vincent made the introductions.
"Martino Fabrizio I would like you to meet my fiancé, Calli Mancini. Calli, this is Martino, my operations manager at the winery and his lovely wife, Angelique."
We made small talk, wrapped it up and proceeded to our table where Vincent ordered an ungodly expensive bottle of wine, but I knew not to say anything, besides, it wasn't like he couldn't afford it.
"What are you hungry for baby?" Vincent asked. I smiled at him and winked, which made him smirk as he got my meaning behind the wink. "Why don't you order for us?" I suggested. He liked that idea and summoned our waiter.
He order prosciutto wrapped melon, for a starter, then a delicious looking lobster bisque and for the main course, shrimp Alfredo with ciabatta bread.
He was so very attentive, not that he wasn't any other time, but tonight just seemed different. I let him feed me the prosciutto and it was the best thing I'd ever had.
The mild saltiness of the meat mixed with the sweetness of the melon was phenomenal. Next was our bisque and having seafood so readily available to restaurants made the dishes that much tastier.
But our main dish was the bomb. The shrimp were plump and grilled to perfection and the cream and mixture of cheeses pushed it way over the decadent scale.
"This has been an incredible evening" I told my date. Smiling at me he said "Well it's not over yet. I have one more thing prepared for you but you will have to wait until we get home."
I pouted, causing him to chuckle, then watched him stand and reach for my hand. "Will you dance with me?" How could I resist dancing to Pucini?
Taking his hand, he led me to the dance floor and held me tight as we mixed with other couples, enjoying the closeness and each other's company.
"Vincent?" I said looking up at him. "Si, farfalla (butterfly)?" "You make me so happy" I told him. "Do I, really Calli? Because more than anything this is what I want."
His words meant everything to me. "Yes, I mean it. You have made me so happy and shown me what it's like to be apart of a true famiglia and I will always love you for that."
