Vincent looked down at the beautiful woman lying beneath him, part of him wanting to take her and make love to her, the other part wanted to turn her over his knee and make her ass red.

"I need to be able to trust that what I'm going to tell you, you won't go off half cocked and try to fix it. Your safety and the element of surprise are at stake."

He could tell that he had her complete attention when her face turned serious and she nodded, encouraging him to go on.

"We have an insider who has basically verified what you found out about Dante but the worst part is, there is now evidence that he has a partner."

Vincent didn't say anything else, just yet, as he wanted to see if she understood what he was laying out and based on her pale pallor, she was getting it.

"Vincent" she whispered while shaking her head, tears starting to slide down her gorgeous unmade face.  He continued because she needed to hear it all.

"Dante was overheard talking to your father, by our insider, basically threatening him with you, so you see why you cannot be outed as the person who uncovered the evidence.

I was pissed, Calli, not at you, but your father on how he could betray you again and when I got into the car, all I could think about was getting home and sinking into you.

Then I walked in here and you were dressed in that sexy-as-f*ck nighty and I let my d*ck overload my brain.  I can't tell you how sorry I am for taking all that aggression out on you, tesoro.  You are worth so much more than how I treated you."

Vincent got up and started pacing around, waiting for Calli to say something, anything, but she just sat there, looking crushed and devastated.

Her shoulders started to shake, sobs racking her body causing Vincent to drop to his knees in front of her and thank God she didn't shy away from his touch, she leaned into him, allowing the comfort he was trying to give.

"You must hate me" Calli hiccuped in his ear, this statement only made him tighten his hold on her.   "Calli look at me baby, please" Vincent pleaded with her.  "I most certainly do not hate you.  I love you, very much, and come this time next week you will be my wife."

Calli lowered her head back down to his shoulder, still seeking assurance from him and he would give it the best way he knew how, just being there for her.

"Dante will be in attendance tonight and if anything about that scares you in any way, we can postpone.  I don't need you carrying that around with you" he said gently.

"I don't want to postpone tonight" she replied softly.  "I need to do this, we need to do this and Vincent, I know that you are going to do what you have to and I understand.

My father has chosen poorly as long as I could remember and nona always told him that it would come back on him and it has."

She basically gave him permission to execute her father and he knew the tremendous burden she would now carry as his wife, partner and mate.

"I-I need to be alone for a little while" she told him, the sadness in her voice overwhelming.  He nodded but added "At least let me send Bri in, Calli.  I don't want you left alone, baby."

She nodded but said "Vincent?"  He turned back around to face her.  "Si, fiore?"  "Thank you for being honest with me and for trusting me with this.  It shows me that I can trust you."

Her words made him sigh with relief and although she didn't come right out and say that she forgave him, he knew she would and that was enough for now.

He walked out, leaving her on the bed and went across the hall to fetch Bri but before he let her say anything he said "She needs you Bri and she will explain."

Bri simply nodded, went in and quietly closed the door behind her and that's we he he heard Calli lose it.  The dam broke and he was, at that moment, eternally thankful that Calli had his sister.

As he got closer to his father's study, he heard Luca in there with his father and they were discussing the recent turn of events when Vincent walked through the door.

Alberto got up and walked over to his son and embraced him.  "How is Calli doing son?"  His concern was shared by Luca as well.

Plopping down on the couch, Vincent ran his fingers through his unruly hair and said "She's hurt beyond words.  That stronzo has betrayed her for the last time!"  His fist pounding the arm rest, his eyes blazing with unvoiced retribution for his Calli.

"Son, we will all help in this" Alberto swore as did Luca and Vincent knew they would keep their word as he filled in his father on the meeting from last night.

Once the elder Siranni was brought up to speed, he suggested they put away 'work' topics and focus on tonight's party.

"Nona should be arriving in about three hours" Alberto told Vincent.   "That's good.  Calli will be grateful to have her here and I'm glad we could do this for the both of them.  Plus, I want Abrielle to see that Calli is being well taken care of" Vincent replied.

"I need to go check on your mama, Vincent.  Even with help, you know she will try and do it all herself and I want her to enjoy tonight as well" Alberto left the room mumbling about his wife trying to be super woman.

Vincent and Luca laughed at Alberto then they returned to important matters.  "You and Calli gonna be okay, brother?" Luca asked his boss and friend.

Vincent looked at Luca, smiled a small smile and said "We'll be okay.  We have to be.  I love her, Luca and I am not going to lose her.  That's a promise."  She belonged to him, forever.
