I woke up in the hospital room again. This time though, I was alone and the room was bright signaling that it was morning. I looked at the chair beside me to see a my small blue juicy couture backpack. I sat up and stretched my arms above my head popping my neck and back. I couldn't help but looking at the bracelet on my wrist in despair. How sad. I thought laying back down on my side and pulling the thin white sheet back over my body. I was just staring at the wall before me when the door opened. It's not Demetri this time, I would have tensed up if it was him. It is someone related to him though the person has this powerful aura around him or her although its shallow its there.
"Jessabell?" I heard the soft voice mumble from beside me. My back was to her but I knew who it was. I heard Violet and Freya call her Willow the day she cursed me out and i left. I didn't move or acknowledge her presence. I didn't want to see her, as a matter of fact, I don't want to see anyone.
"I know you're awake," she said "look I just wanted to say sorry for how I behaved on Tuesday, it was wrong and I was mean but I didn't know who you were and my brother always brings girls home so I thought you were just one of those. I'm sorry."
I didn't respond and she sighed,
"OK then I'll just leave." She said and I heard her footsteps retreating before the door opened and closed and I was left alone with my peace and quiet.
I knew she thought I was one of Demetri's whores, she had said it herself on the day of the incident. Funnily enough, I think that is what I'll become to him after we're mated, just a more permanent one. I refuse to live like this. I'm not made for this type of living. I live for myself not for anyone else. Not even my mate. Thinking of the disgusting bastard, he walks right in.
"Jessabell." He said, shaking my shoulder gently. I didn't move, I did tense under his touch though. He noticed and removed his hand.
"Jessabell get up, you have to eat." He said pulling the soft sheet off me. I still didn't move I kept laying on my side with my eyes trained on the wall before me, my knees pulled up to my chest.
"Jessabell." He said in a firmer voice pulling me up into a sitting position. I looked anywhere but at him. He sat before me with a small plate of fruits. It contained slices of apple, strawberry and melons. It looked nice but I wasn't hungry and even if I was, I couldn't eat it, it would just come right back up.
Demetri poked a piece of melon with the small silver fork and held it up to my mouth. I moved back a bit and he pushed the fork closer.
"Jessabell, eat something." He said softly. This is the softest I've ever heard his voice get. I didn't answer or eat. I pulled my knees up and rested my cheek on them turning my head to face the wall once again.
"Jessabell, please eat." Demetri begged touching my hair. I stayed quiet. I don't want to see you, I thought knowing he was inside my head.
"If I leave you to eat, will you?" He asked touching my tangled hair with his fingers. No, I responded mentally and he sighed.
"I'm sorry Jessabell. I'm so sorry." He whispered pulling me into his chest. I didn't move or respond. I just sat there while he stroked my tangled hair with his hand. Sitting on his lap, the plate he was holding was placed on the small table at the foot of the small hospital bed.
"I know I'm an asshole, but please don't punish me by refusing to eat, Jessabell, please." Demetri mumbled into my tangled hair, I still didn't respond. I noticed that my thoughts had started to fade in and out. Sometimes my brain registered and processed his words but sometimes it didn't. This always happens. I closed my eyes and let out a small sigh. I fell asleep in Demetri's arms. I was tired of him and I met him five or so days ago. I really don't like him but I'm not the type of girl to sulk and complain about my problems. But this problem is one I'm more than happy to sulk over.

I opened my eyes once again to the same scene as before. A hospital room. Why am I still here? Nothing is wrong with me. Why can't I go home?
I looked around to see that I wasn't alone. My mother stood before me in a light blue maternity dress and balette flats. Her red hair was in a loose ponytail and light gray eyes stared at me with worry.
"Jessabell." She said noticing that I was awake I didn't respond, just sat up and rubbed my eyes as I stared at her.
"What happened to you?" She asked, injecting about an ounce of concern into her tone.
Pssh, like you really care. I thought sarcastically rolling my eyes outward. She saw and frowned.
"You look like your mate tried to kill you." She stated matter of factly.
"Well, yeah, he kinda did. No biggy." I said nonchalantly and she frowned and glared at me.
"If you had had a little behavior that might not have happened." Well then, I thought in response to her statement
"Why are you here?" I asked narrowing my eyes at her, "I don't recall asking you to grace me with your presence."
"Your mate called me. He was worried and called me to see if this was normal for you. I told him yes, its just another way that you try to get attention so he wasn't supposed to worry too much." She explained. Even thought I don't really care what she thinks about me, I cannot deny the fact that that hurt like a bitch.
"You don't know anything about me or my desires for attention. And even if this was just another ploy to get attention, I would not want your attention." I hissed throwing the thin sheet off of me and jumping from the bed.
"You're just jealous of Patricia and Lillyann. Because they get more attention from you fath-"
"Shut the fuck up!" I yelled at her and the door to the room opened to admit Demetri, his father, Damien, Jackson, Allistair amd Freya. They all froze and looked at me in shock.
Good for them.
"I see you still haven't learnt some manners." My mother said eyeing me distastefully. I smirked and crossed my arms across my chest.
"And I see you still ain't learn how to die." I said blinking sweetly at her as the men's eyes widened. Well Demetri's didn't. He just stared at me with a blank face.
"I hope your mate teaches you some manners." She seethed savagely.
"And I sincerely hope you learn how to stop breeding. What are you trying to do anyway overpopulate the earth?" I asked twirling a piece of hair around my fingers. "The rate at which you're going you won't-" I was cut off by Demetri's hard voice.
"Jessabell that's enough." He growled, I ignored him and continued. Well attempted to continue.
"Have any wa-" I was cut off by the electric pain in my wrist under the bracelet.
"I said enough." Demetri hissed savagely pulling me off the floor by my upper arm.
I had fallen to my knees clutching my hand when I felt the pain in my wrist. "Everybody out." Demetri said still holding my left upper arm and staring at me with light purple eyes. I moved my right hand behind my back and lenghted my claws. I moved quickly and tried to scratch him but he moved faster than I did and grabbed my right wrist. I started wiggling trying to break his grip on my arm.
I heard the door to the room close and I knew we were alone. The pain came back in my wrist but not as extreme as before just a small stinging pain like I had hit my arm on a hard surface of something.
"How dare you speak to your Mother that way!" Demetri growled in anger and I shot him a glare.
"That is no mother of mine." I said defiantly and his eyes darkened a bit.
"She's right. I should teach you some manners." Demetri hissed backing me up to the wall. I started struggling and wiggling trying to get out of his grasp.
"Let go of me!" I hissed in fear of what he was about to do to me. He pinned my arms above my head and moved my hair from my neck. Oh no. I squirmed harder trying to get away but froze when I felt his fangs bury themselves in my neck. The pain was instant. Burning pain flew through my neck making me scream and my vision blurr with tears. Demetri covered my mouth as he kept his fangs in my neck. It would hurt more if I moved so I stayed still and allowed my blood to flow down his throat.
After what felt like eternity, he finally pulled away and licked the bite shut. I stayed there crying softly while he held me to him. I pushed him away and moved away from him.
"I want to go home." I mumbled shakily from the crying.
"Take a shower and change then I'll take you back to the castle." Demetri said not looking at me.
"That's not my home."
"It will be soon enough. Go bathe and come. Clothes are in your backpack." He said walking out the room and closing the door.
I grabbed my bag and walked into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a shower washing my hair with the body wash that was in my bag. When I was finished, I dried off and put on a black bra and panty. Then a short plain gray dress, its tight and clings to my body. It ended about mid thigh. A pair of black converse was also in the bag so I put those on too. I exited the bathroom to see a black jacket on the bed. I ignored it and attempted to comb out my damp, tangled hair.
I was visciously tearing through my hair with the large blue comb I had found in the bag when the door opened and Demetri came in again. He walked over to me and tried to take the comb from me but I moved away.
Don't touch me, I though angrily. I didn't have to look at him to know he rolled his eyes.
"Let me do it. You're tearing out your hair." He said reaching for the comb once again.
"It's my hair, if I want to tear it out it's my concern not yours." I snapped dragging the comb through a part of my hair which was a mass of tangles.
Well, its not tangled anymore, I thought ruefully staring at the bundle of red hair between the teeth of the comb.
"Don't be stubborn." Demetri said approaching me slowly.
"Stay away from me." I growled stepping away from him.
"I'm not going to touch you. I don't have the energy for you right now." He replied stepping past me to grab my back pack and stuff. He packed my stuff up and by the time I was finished combing out my hair, we were finished. I left my hair down mainly because i didn't have anything to clip it up.
"Let's go." He said and I followed him to the reception desk of the hospital just noticing that it's a private hospital. Demetri signed some papers then we walked out the glass doors and into the parking lot.
The sunlight hit my eyes causing an instant headache. I winced closing my eyes and pressing my hands to them as I stopped walking. Demetri noticed and asked what was wrong as he placed one of his large hands in the center of my back.
"My head." I mumbled rubbing my temples.
"Here." Demetri said putting a pair of sunglasses on my face I blinked quickly then opened my eyes to see him staring at me with concern in his gray eyes. Funny how he's not concerned when he hurts me. I thought bitterly looking around to notice we were stood in the parking lot of the hospital.
"Because I'd never hurt you to do permanent damage, just to teach you a lesson." He said leading me to his car. Asshole thought in anger sure that he heard because he snickered then opened the door for me and we got in his car. I put my seatbelt on and he drove out of the parking lot and off to the castle where I would apparently be spending my Christmas. How exciting, note the very evident sarcasm.
It's like I'm being punished by the universe, but what exactly am I being punished for? Demetri is not just a problem of mine but also my punishment. What did I do that's so wrong?
