The night is finally here, the night you've been waiting for for weeks. After months of trying you got your tickets to the Serious Moonlight Tour to see David (Bowie) live.
You grab the first good metro Madison Square Garden, you readjust your handbag on your shoulder and looks down at the ticket in your hand; David Bowie, front row Golden ring. You smile. ''Sir? May I ask what's the time?" The old man smiles friendly and looks at his watch. ''Of course ma'am, It's 5:45." "Thank you Sir, have a nice evening'' You nod slightly and holds onto the iron pole, waiting for your stop. No 15 minutes later you arrive right in front of the hall, you show you ticket at the ticket control and they let you in. You run as fast as you can to the stage and there you are, the place you dreamed of for years, you are finally there. The hall streams full with people as the lights dim, it's starting. You scream as you see the band coming up and preparing their instruments and microphones. You scream even louder and laugh with the people around you, the people are very nice and you're creating possible future friends. The music starts, David walks on stage and waves to the crowd before walking to the mic and greeting the audience. ''Hello everyone! How's everyone feeling tonight?'' He smiles and runs a hand through his hair. The crowd roars and tears well up in your eyes. He is just a few inches away from you, you smile as you watches him.
He signals the band to play an older favourite, Suffragette City, and he grabs the mic from it's stand to run over the stage. You sing along and listens to his pure and powerful vocals, just as on the record. The music stops abruptly and you are the only one singing in the hall, you stop and look around. ''I'm sorry!'' you scream. He walks to the edge of the stage and offers you his hand. ''Don't be, what's your name lovely?'' He smiles softly. You gasp as you smile brightly and holds onto his hand. ''Uhm.. (Y/N), Oh my goodness!'' You cover your mouth and looks up at him with tears in your eyes. ''What a beautiful name.'' He says this as he lifts you onto the stage. ''Since you seem to have such a lovely voice, would you care to sing a little something for us?'' He smiles and looks down at you as if the crowd wasn't even there. Your knees start to shake and you widens your eyes. You stutter. ''I..I would love to D..David. What would you like to hear?'' You straightens out your dress and chuckles shyly. He laughs softly before answering. ''How about Young Americans? You know that one?" You scratch the back of your head and looks up at him. "Oh man, I feel so bad, I do but I never really studied the lyrics.. hm what about Wild As The Wind?'' He arches his eyebrow and bows his head. ''My favourite actually.'' ''It is? well then.'' You smile at him, still flabbergasted and looks into the crowd. ''This is the best night ever.." He chuckles and asks. ''Shall we start?'' He pulls you closer to share the mic in the microphone stand. ''You'll take a line then I will or shall we sing it together?'' ''We could sing together, only if..if you want to.'' You say as you look back up at him. ''I'd love to, I've been dying to do a duet with this song.'' He counts off for the band to start and he signals for you to join in with him. You start off in a slightly unsure and nervous tone but as the song plays along, the less nervous you get and starts to sing louder. You look up at David as you both sing the chorus and you close your eyes as you totally dive into your element, the practicing was worth it. He smile and sings along with you as much as he can. You seem to consistently impress him with your voice. You open your eyes as the song ends and smiles. You take a step back as you look down and bites your lip. ''Let's have a round of applause for (Y/N). That was wonderful!"He stands back and applauds you. You cover your mouth and looks at him as you chuckle. ''I could burst into tears right now David, but I won't because..that would be a bit awkward, won't it?" You raise your eyebrows at him and grins. ''It might be, would you like to go back to your seat or would you like to sit on the side of the stage?'' He said this near you away from the mic.
''I'm so honoured David, thank you so much! I would love to stay close though.'' You smile shyly. ''Then go right there by the curtain and you'll get your pass to stay back there.'' He points to the right side of the stage and then he smiles brightly. ''May I give you a kiss on the cheek, the crowd might like it?'' ''Thank you David.'' You smile brightly as you hear his words. ''Of course you may.'' You giggle and look up at him. He leans down and kisses your cheek as the audience roars and the ladies in front can be heard sobbing. ''Thank you, now go talk to that man there for your pass and enjoy the show (Y/N).'' He smiled and watched you walk off. He speaks into the mic. ''Another round of applause.'' You jog off to the man. ''O..Okay, uhm, W..What do I do'' You chuckle as you try not to fall over from excitement. ''Take this pass and take a seat here, make sure you are not in the way of the performers and of course have a great time.'' He hands you the VIP-pass and sits you down on your chair. You sit back and enjoys the show, the best night ever. You finally met him.
