David opened another can of pastel blue paint as he held the paint brush between his teeth. His hair fell in front of his eyes as he chuckled, looking down at the glimmering paint. He took the brush back into his hand and dipped it in before carefully standing straight on the iron steps and sweeping over oak wooden planks above the window. David softly hummed a nursery song as he was reminded what he was doing. You walked into the nursery and smiled while holding a small present behind your back, and at this point it was easy to hide something behind you due to your swollen belly. "Hi there, David." David looks down at you in awe and smiles. "Hello love, how does this look? I thought you said the lighter blue on this wall...Right?" He said slightly unsure before a drop of paint drips from the brush onto his stomach. Right onto his skin since he didn't mind wearing a shirt under the jacket he wore. "Oh Oops." He shrugs and rests the paintbrush on top of the can. "Yes, that's exactly the color but that doesn't mean I want you to become blue," you say with a soft giggle before handing him a piece of painter's cloth. "I have a surprise for you!"

He takes the cloth and rubs it over the drop to clean his skin. "Oh is that so? Do you want me to come down?" David half smiled and rested his hand on his hip. "No, stay right there darling." You pull the camera from behind your back to snap the photo of him looking down from the latter. "One second!" The photo prints itself and develops as you shake it before giving him the camera. "It's brand new and look how well it develops on its own!" David slowly spins the camera around as his eyes widen. "That is a lovely camera darling, how did you get such a good one?" He asked before pulling the camera up to snap your picture. "Oh that one is going in my wallet..if, if it fits in there." David chuckles and climbs down the latter to wrap his arm around you.

"You look great, how are you feeling, my love?" "I'm feeling fantastic. Just like the doctor said, there's a lot more movement because we're so close to the due date." You smile as your rest your hand on your belly and slowly rub and sway your body. "Do you really like the camera, David?" He kisses your cheek tenderly before resting his hand on your lower back. "I love it! Now I can take even more pictures of my gorgeous girl, I mean woman." He growls softly next to your ear before giggling. "I love you, thank you." You laugh softly and kiss his cheek in return. "I love you too. I'm so happy you like it, darling." "I'm happy too, but for lot more reasons that just the camera." He whispers into your hair as he rests his chin on your shoulder. "I'm ever more happier and excited for the baby." "I am too and I'm thankful it's almost over," you whisper before sighing. "Getting to be quite the heavy load." You giggle softly before turning David's hands over in yours and swaying slowly while humming the nursery rhyme he was humming earlier.

"I'm happy too, but for lot more reasons that just the camera." He whispers into your hair as he rests his chin on your shoulder. "I'm ever more happier and excited for the baby." "Then why don't you lay down, love you need a lot of rest. I can get a chair for you so you can sit here while I paint a bit more." He leans back to look at you and brushes your hair back. "That sounds very inviting actually," you say softly before patting his cheek affectionately. "I'd sit on the floor but you know how long it takes to get up with the baby." "Stay here." David smiled softly before quickly skipping out of the room. He picked up one of the chair at the kitchen table and walked back. "Here we have the throne, for my gorgeous princess." He chuckles before placing the chair next to you. "Now sit while I keep getting the wall done, I don't want any patchiness so I should start working again." He winked before quickly before cupping your cheek in his hand and kissing you passionately. David softly sucked on your bottom lip before leaning back from you to breathe.

You laugh as you cover your mouth and watch him with giddy eyes. "Wow. Excited?" "With you? Always. I will always be as excited and nervous aroudn you like on the day we started dating." He whispers before pecking her lips again. "I love you darling, now sit down, relax. Is there anything I can get you?" "No, David. I'm fine, I promise. Now climb up that latter so I can watch you from behind." You narrow your eyes before smirking but fail to maintain the seductive face before giggling. "Weird woman,  god I can't get enough of you." He growls in your ear and kising your cheek before climbing up the iron latter and picking the brush back up to sweep softly over the still uncovered pieces of wood. "That really is a nice color. I heard it's also a calming color." You smile and tap your toes on the plastic covering the floor. "It is. I heard green also is very calming, if I have to believe the lady at the hobby store." Daved stiffles a chuckle before dipping the brush into the paint again. "Perhaps we could paint those old cabinets green? Like Leavy green? Olive?" "Yes, dear. Olive is the word you're looking for but I think that's a lovely choice. Or what about the walls green, cabinets white, and trim black? Very soothing if you ask me."

"That sounds even more amazing, love." He smiles and looks over his shoulder down at you.  "I really, really can't wait." "I can't wait either but, David? Are you sure you don't want to pay painters to do the work? You just seem to have your mind on so much," you say softly before smiling up at him. "No, i insist! I want to do all the daddy's work because, well, I'm the daddy." He shrugs and sighs. "Can you believe it? We're finally going to have a little family on our own.' "I can believe it alright. I mean I can't pretend this belly isn't here," you say giggling before sighing. "But it is wonderful." "It soon will be over, just a month or two, am I right?" "A month," you say softly before rubbing over your belly and stretching out your legs. "You know what I think my lovely wife deserves? A night out. I already called and we have a table in the corner for 7pm." "Oh, David! You are so sweet. Is it that little restaurant we love so much? You know, the one with the little cookies in boxes?" You smile as you clasp your hands together and smile. "Yes indeed! But until then, I will keep on painting. I love you darling." David smiles and winks before climbing off of the latter after putting the paintbrush down, walks over and kneels in front of you. "I love you." He repeats in a whisper before kissing your belly. You gently stroke his head and push his stray hairs of bright red and set his cap aside. Tenderly, you take a hold of his jaw to point his eyes up at you. "I love you, too," you whisper before smiling so broadly it crinkles the corners of your eyes.
