You unlocked your bike and walked out of your garden, while correcting your backpack you jumped on your bike and drove down the street. Squinting your eyes at the orange sunlight falling through the branches of the row of trees you were cycling next to before stopping on the corner of the street, wondering
why David wasn't there yet.David peddled as fast as he could before making it to the corner, panting. "Hey (Y/N)! Sorry, the dog got out next door and mum made me help." You smiled as you leaned forward on your handle bars. "That's fine, we have plenty of time. So how have you been? I haven't seen you all weekend." You tilt your head and sighs. "Busy. I had to write an essay and had a couple gigs so it got crazy fast. Sorry I didn't see you or the others. What about you? How was your week?" "My week was fine, a lot of tests and trips here and there. Luckily that is all over now, I can take slow now." You say
as you get interupted by a jawn, not bothering putting your hand in front of your mouth because you were still too tired. "Hey, (Y/N)," he asked awkwardly and quietly. "Can I ask you a question?" "Of course you can." You sits straight on your seat and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear as you did so. David took in a deep breath before smiling. "Would you lile to be my prom date? As friends ya know.. just us...uhm... friends." He sighed and slapped his forehead before smiling nervously. "Want to go to prom?" You chuckle and blush lightly before pulling him into a hug. "I'd love to, thank you for asking me." You peck his cheek and giggels before looking down at his watch. "Oh goodness we got to go,"After three cramped days of getting your dress and discussing with David about who was going where at what time, the night was finally there. This was your first real prom and it excited you, going with your best friend, it couldn't get any better. As your mother put the last flower pins in your hair, you finished putting on some makeup, more than usual but you wanted to keep it simple with a lipgloss and some glitter eyeshadow. You made your way downstairs and waited for David to come and knock on your door.
David smiled as he drove down the street in his dad's car. He was actually allowed to drive the car! He stopped in front of your house and walked to the door before knocking. Straightening his tie, he checked himself in the glass. You get up before grabbing your clutch
bag and walking to the door and opening.it up. You let your eyes glide down his suit and tie before his eyes. "Now don't you look define, David. Classy.." you smirk and crosses your arms. David blushed and looked down as he shuffled his shoes. "Thank you," he said sweetly before looking up to meet your eyes. "You look beautiful." He went to take your arm and leave but your mother quickly rushed back with the camera. "Pictures before the big dance.""Sure mum." You smile and hook your arm on David's before your mother took some quick pictures. "Okay, we'll be going now. I will be home before 1." You turn to David and steps out before closing the door. "That was awkward, sorry." You look down and half smiles. "No, I think it was sweet. I'll probably ask for one of them." He opened the door to his car for you before bowing. "There's a surprise for you om the seat." "Oh really?" You stepped closer before picking the Daiseys up and sitting down. "Oh these are lovely, you didn't have to do that David.." you hold them close to your chest and looks up at him. "But I wanted to make sure this night was as special for you as if you were going out with a boyfriend. Do you like them?" He asked as he shut your door.
You waited for David to step in and sit down as you buckled your belt and laid the flowers on your lap. "That is very, very kind of you love." You carress his cheek with the back of your fingers. "I love them." David patted your hand before resting it in your lap while still holding your hand in his. "I'm glad," he said softly before starting up the car. "We're on our way now." "I can't wait to get there, I've never went to a prom before, not a real one at least. And l just couldn't find a dress that fitted until yesterday and this was the outcome." You looked down at your black and white ,just above, knee length dress and the flowers. "I didn't even planned on going but how can I say
no to my love." You squeezed his hand softly before letting go and resting back in the seat. "I think you look incredible. It's very becoming. I like the black and white on you. It even goes with the daisies." He rested both hands on the wheel before turning down the road. "Luckily yes, thank you David."
