The rest of the day went by without Will bothering me. What a thing to say, right? The only student at Farwell High School talking to me and I'm glad I didn't see him again after lunch. Dean and Sam went over to Bobby's motel room to give me some space to do homework. Sam left me his laptop "if I needed it," as he put it. Whether he meant for me to or not, I used it to look further into the missing persons.
I looked into whether they knew each other in any way, found nothing. I looked into if they all knew the same person, found nothing. I looked into what I could think of for how they could be connected. If their kids knew each other, families knew each other, even if they bought their food on the same stretch of road. Through all of the filters, I found nothing, making it harder to figure out if this was even a supernatural occurrence. Sam had mentioned that with most cases, the victims had something in common with each other. That could mean anything, or it could mean nothing. If what I found has anything to do with a supernatural monster, and it was that chance where the victims didn't have anything in common to go off of, I was not going to find a case. I even looked into a few creatures I assumed it would be, but couldn't find anything worth looking further into. After a while I decided I should actually do my homework, so I shut down and closed Sam's laptop and began working on homework.
At some point I must've fallen asleep because I was woken up with a gentle shake to my shoulder. I sat up quickly with quick, heavy breaths. I wasn't sure if I was scared or if I'd had a nightmare, but Dean had a worried look on his face.
"You okay, Ava?" He asked.
"Yeah, I think so," I said, trying to slow my breathing. With the back of my hand I wipe away the small layer of sweat from my forehead. Maybe it was a nightmare. I look between Sam and my father and notice they both have a look of serious worry across their faces. Probably noticing that I could see it, Dean pushed his face back to its normal, neutral emotion.
"It's, uh, almost midnight. I was just thinking you might wanna sleep somewhere more comfortable than leaning over on a table." Dean said with a laugh. I nod awkwardly, wracking my brain for what the nightmare could've been about.
"You sure you're okay?" Sam asks me. I nod again, moving to the couch and laying down.
"Just tired, I guess." I tell him. It's true, along with the fact that I just had a nightmare worth sweating over. Usually when I have a nightmare, I just have a nightmare, wake up, drink some water, and go back to sleep and it's all fine until I wake up the next morning. But I've rarely had a nightmare and ended up sweating. That's why it was worrying me so much.
Finally, Dean and Sam had fallen asleep, but my worry and wonder over what I had dreamt about was keeping me awake. It was around 2:30 in the morning when I got a text. Not thinking anything of a text at such an ungodly hour, I looked at it.
Unknown number: Sweet dreams little Winchester.
Putting my phone away again, I closed my eyes and soon fell asleep.

She was in some kind of old, run down hotel. From the looks of everything around her as she entered, it had been empty for a long time. The girl in the empty hotel pulls out a flashlight and a gun that she had on her, not sure of what else to do.
My vision flashed around like a bad connection to a television channel. Bodies were struggling up to the ceiling with blood bags draining their blood. Tattooed people walked around them, looking them up and down.
My vision flashed again back to the scene in front of me. Fast movement and an object falling to the right of where the girl was standing, caused her to turn the flashlight in that direction. Another object crashes behind her and she whips around in the direction it came from. Then it was silent. Like a horror movie, almost too silent.
Somewhere in the building there was someone crying out in surprise. Quickly checking around her, she rushed in that direction. Running up the stairs, two at a time, her out-of-shape lungs felt like they were compressing like that of an asthma attack. When she reached the top and listened to silence once again, she flipped the flashlight in the direction of her options. She could go left, right, or continue up another flight of stairs. Her lungs would probably have her collapsing in exhaustion. She went left, thinking it wouldn't matter if she couldn't find anything here. Maybe that scream was just her head, a reaction to being in a strange, creepy place.
She searched the rooms for someone to be laying dead or being attacked. The girl ended up finding nothing on the entire floor, and stared up at the next flight of stairs in dread. She pushed on though, knowing people's lives depended on her.
The girl was on my way to the top floor when my vision flashed around again. Picture after picture of people hung up in the dark hit me by surprise, making her fall back, down half the stairs. Each hit of the edge of the stairs knocking the breath out of my lungs, until I felt as if I was being choked. When she opened her eyes, one of the tattooed people was on top of her, hand on her throat. The girl struggled, clawing her hands at the man's hand. His other hands hovered above her, slowly emitting a blue flame around it, like a force field. Slowly he moved his hand closer and closer until he touched her forehead. The girl's eyes rolled back until she passed out.
I sat up on the couch with a scream, surely waking up Dean and Sam.
Pineapple is great. Anyways. That was short only because this was mainly a filler chapter. I was kind of headed towards some big writer's block so bear with me. I just used this as a way to help the story move along. Besides that, I hope you still enjoyed it. I'm hoping the next chapter will be a little bit better. Until next time!
