"How was school?" James asked, leaning casually on the doorway.

We were currently in the training room. I was hanging upside down after I failed to climb the rope and managed to tangle my foot in the process.

"I don't know. It was normal, I guess." I said. "Uh, a little help?" I pointed to my foot.

"Oh. Right." He walked over to me and helped me get down. Once I was on my feet again, I grabbed a sword from the rack and walked over to the manequin. I did some moves as I danced around the enemy. I felt great. This was my way of spending my free time whenever I was stressed. Not that I was.

"Got any information about the boy?" James asked whilst I was slicing through the manequin's body.

"He's a jerk. He was very rude." I say, hitting the enemy as hard as I can with the sword.

James chuckled. "In what way?"

"Well, I sat on an empty seat in class and he made me get up and look for another one and he made fun of it. Then I was assigned to be his lab partner for the semestral project an he told me to 'fuck off.' when I asked him what we were gonna do. Then at lunch, I met his friends because I happen to be sitting a their table. I really had to learn who sat at who's table." I sighed. "Anyways, they were really nice, unlike him." I shrugged as I sliced the figure's head off.

James walked over to where the head lies then looked up at me. "You hate him that much, huh?"

I nodded.

He laughed. "Made any friends, have you?"

"Only the ones who were his. I was with them on the bus. They made me laugh a lot and kept me company." I say, fixing my hair.

"Cool. Now go shower, I'll order pizza." He says.

I nod and walk out of the room, towards the bathroom. I remove my sweaty training clothes and take a long shower. Once I was dry, I put on a clean shirt and some pyjama pants before heading downstairs.

James was already done eatimg his pizza and he was watching tv in the living room. I take a slice of pizza and go back up to my room.

I hear a crashing noise from outsie and I walk over to my window and take a peek. I see Luke skateboarding. His face was almost hidden in the dark but I can see he was really concentrated. He did a few flawless flips, looking graceful. The way he skateboarded, it was like the world didn't exist. He seemed to enjoy what he was doing.

As if feeling someone's gaze on him, he turned his head towards my window and his eyes met mine.

Time must've stopped ticking. I was stuck there, in my dark room peeping through the curtains. His eyes were the perfect shade of blue that I love. His blonde hair gleamed orange because of the sun's setting. I felt lost. He was handsome, no doubt about that. But there was some longing in his eyes, something that was barely noticable.

Suddenly, his mouth turned up into a smirk and that was enough to bring me back to earth. I moved away from the curtains and bluhed furiously. Was I just checking him out?

I shrugged and turned back to eating my pizza. I turn my attention back to what I was watching.

My thoughts drift to what the boys had told me. Luke does seem like the type to not give girls the attention they wanted. But why was it that he bothers to be a jerk to me when he doesn't care about girls? Was I any different? I know I'm not normal. I'm not like most girls from that school who would die to have Luke's eyes on them, who would do aythingfor the boy's attention. I mean what was it that they see in him? Sure, he's handsome, but he's a jerk. He is rude and selfish. Why would girls want a guy like him?
