I shut my locker and slung my backpack over my right shoulder. People stepped aside to let me pass through. It was the same thing since the whole makeover thing. I guess people just sarted thinking that I was popular or something. Or it was the hanging out with Luke thing. Either way, I hated it. I hated having to be the center of attention.
I walked towards my first class, just my luck, it was science.
Luke and I were partners in this class and I had to sit next to him. Great. That was really what I needed. To sit next to him for a whole hour.
I didn't get any sign from him since yesterday. No text, no call. Nothing. I was goin to call him last night, but I decided against it. Maybe he was busy with Laura, who ever she is to him. If he wanted to explain to me what happened, then he would have called.
I was honestly hurt that he didn't contact me or anything. But who was I to be mad. I wasn't his girlfriend, the last time I checked. Which hurt. Because maybe he was just using me as some sort of distraction. To please him while he runs away from his problems.
I held onto my pack as I walked in the room. The laboratory was already filled and I realised that I was a few minutes late.
"Good morning, Ms. Horan." The teacher greeted coldy.
"I'm sorry for being late, Mr Foster." I apologize.
"Take a seat, please." He requested. I nodded and clutched my bag.
As I headed for my usual table, my heart dropped down to my stomach. Laura sat next to Luke. On my seat. I should be mad, or even furious. But I guess I had expected this. I knew this would happen. But why had I not prepared myself for the worse? Oh, that's right. I was too busy being all crazy about Luke.
"Ms. Horan, please take a seat next to Mr. Styles at the back. "
I didn't bother looking at Luke, considering I was really hurt by his actions. I merely shuffled my way towards the last table at the back. I put my bag on top of the table and took out my notebook, not bother to see what my seatmate is doing.
Worst case scenario, my seatmate is an axe maniac who will end up stalking me all the way to my house to kill me.
"Hi, I'm Harry." My seatmate spoke up. He had a british accent-which I found cute-and he spoke slowly. I looked up from my notebook and faced him. He had a mess of curly brown hair atop his head with piercing green eyes and two deep dimples on either side of his cheeks. He was really handsome but he wasn't my type.
Pshhh. What was my type? Hot blonde bad boys with blue eyes?
Ugh. Maybe.
"Adrianne," I flashed him a smile.
"I know." He shrugged.
"Oh? Are you some kind of creepy stalker?" I joked.
"Oh, yeah. You caught me." He held his hands up, which made me stiffle a laugh.
