Life is so unexpected. Believe me when I say that. One minute you're running of to the sunset with your prince, the next, he's gone.

Let me go back to the hour where I wanted nothing more than him.

~

Throughout the venture to where Victoria was, we remained silent. I don't know if it was the thoughts running through our heads or it was just the fact that we were both scared.

Honestly, a huge part of me was. I had no idea what would happen after this. If I do manage to avenge my parents' death and still suceed in my mission, I don't know where I will stay. Will I be going back to America and leave Luke, The boys and everything else behind? Does everyone expect me to move on? Even with the betrayals, I wasn't so sure. Maybe I want to try and live a normal life from here on. Go to university, chase my dream, be with my boyfriend.

Luke. What would I do without him. I had grown so emotionally attached to him, I wasn't sure how I would move on. I couldn't leave him. I won't. But what if he was the one who would leave me, just like everybody else? I don't think I could take another betrayal.

I looked at Luke from beside me as we ran down the hallway. Determination was written all over his face as we grew tired. He wanted nothing more than for me to me happy. I knew that. But what will happen if I kill his mother? That was my goal from the start. To avenge my parents' death. And even he couldn't stop me from doing that. No one can.

"Are you ready?" Luke asked as we halted to a stop in front of a huge wooded door at the end of a hallway.

I merely nodded.

"Hey, don't be afraid. You can do this. You've taken on much more dangerous missions before, I'm sure. This is just another notch on your belt. Okay? I believe in you." He cupped my face in his hands.

I stared at his blue eyes, mesmerized once again, before pressing my lips to his. Butterflies flew in my stomach as I wrapped my arms around his neck. He groaned and pulled me closer to him, a if he was afraid to let me go.

I had to make this moment last because who knew what the outcome of this was. If this was our last kiss then I had to make it the best.

I was the first one to pull back, and Luke rested his forehead against mine as we breathed.

"I love you," He told me. "Never forget that." He brushed away the hair that fell on my face.

"I love you," I replied.

"I have to go. You can do this, alright? I have to get help, but I'll be back." He started to pull back.

"Promise?" I ask.

"Promise." He smiled at me before kissing me once more, seeming alsmost desperate. He ran down the hall and I watched his figure slowly disappear.

I took a deep breath before pushing the door open, trying not to be a pessimist.

Victoria stood behind a throne-like chair, her hand resting on its back. She looked very regal, I gotta admit.

"Agent Snow." She purred. "I can't say I wasn't expecting you. Since my guards have already warned me of your escape, along with my son's disappearance.
