"You were never meant to do that. You were supposed to just be there, instead you went against my plans and made me do something I didn't want."

Kian Lawley

"Why are you still dating her then?" Jc asked, questioning my silence.

I shrugged quietly, "I'm scared."

He nodded and turned his back to me, "you can not hurt Meredith, just because you're scared. Andrea is gone, Kian. She's not yours. You're not hers. You're Meredith's, and she is yours." With that, he left my room, slamming my bedroom door behind him.

My shoulders slumped and I grabbed my phone, dialing Meredith's number to end things.

"Hello?" Her voice was so innocent.

"Meredith," I perked up at the sound of her voice, "hey."

"What's up, Ki?"

My jaw clenched as I said the words I'd been scared to say, "we need to talk."

"Oh, that's never good." Her voice sounded smaller, if that was even possible, "want to meet up and talk face-to-face?"

"Yeah, I'll pick you up." I stood up, my phone against my ear as I grabbed my car keys and left the apartment, heading straight towards my car, "be there in fifteen."

"See you soon," she whispered, then hung up.

I drove for seventeen minutes. Eventually, I arrived at her apartment. She was standing outside with her phone in her hand.

She speed walked toward my car, then got into the passenger seat.

"Hey," she forced a smile, "where to?"

I shrugged and drove around the streets, finally coming to a stop at a park. We got out and sat at a wooden table with seats. She sat across from me, looking into my eyes with curiosity.

"What's wrong?"

"Everything, you're not her."

She shrugged, "that feels like it should offend me, but it doesn't. I know, I'm not Andrea Rose Russett. I am Meredith Mickelson, seventeen year old model and minor YouTuber. I'm from Georgia, not Indiana. I don't look anything like her. I know I'm not her, I will never be her. I'm me, that's all that matters."

Her confidence and independence truly made me smile.

"Why, why are you smiling?"

I chuckled and looked her deep in the eyes, "because your confidence is really cute."

"Wait, aren't you breaking up with me? That's a weird way to break up with someone."

"I was going to, honestly."

"Then?"

My shoulders raised up and down into a shrug, "I never gave you a fair chance."

She blushed, "what are you saying?"

"I'm saying, let's continue this day like a normal date. Let's be basic stereotypes." I stood up and walked around the table over to her. I reached my hand out, she took it. I led her over to the swings and she sat down.

"Can you be any more stereotypical?" She giggled.

Andrea, it reminded me of Andrea.

But no, Meredith deserved a fair chance.
