Andrea Russett

It was practically midnight, and I couldn't sleep. I was in my room, and I felt like I really was out of place. I kept stirring in my bed. I quietly got out of bed and walked to my closet. I put on some leggings and an over-sized shirt, just what I had left in the closet of my old room, just for these purposes. I smiled to myself as I put on my fluffy Uggs. I grabbed my phone and tiptoed throughout the house. I listened quietly, hearing no sound of Anna or my parents awake. I turned off the house alarm, then went outside.

"You're twenty-one Andrea," a voice chuckled, "you don't need to sneak out."

I looked up, surprised to see Kian. "Oh my gosh! Kian! Hey, what are you doing here?" I ran up to him and hugged him, jumping into his arms.

He held me up, "I've been standing out here for at least half an hour. I didn't know what to say if I were to knock on your door and you answered. How does one explain to their ex-girlfriend that they hopped on a plane and arrived at your house at midnight?"

"Why?" I smiled.

"I missed you," He told me, "and Meredith talked to me, well we talked everything out. We are just friends now. She told me to come get you. Like, I don't know. She's just very supportive. I'm happy now. I'm here Andrea, I'm here."

"You're here," I giggled and hugged him again, "I can't believe you got on a plane to come see me! I'm so happy Kian, thank you."

Kian kissed my forehead and set me down on the ground, "you should know very well by now that I would do anything just to see you."

"You're so cheesy," I smiled and poked his tummy, "you made my day."

"Speaking of which, it's the end of the day anyways. It's," he looked at the time on his phone, "11:59 actually."

"Well, you made my day, still," I laughed.

He took a step closer to me, "and how do I make tomorrow a good day?"

I blushed and shrugged lightly, "surprise me."

He kept taking small steps towards me, until I could feel him breathing the same air as me.

"Check your phone," he whispered, "what time is it now?"

I looked at my phone, "12:00 AM," and right when I looked up, I felt his warm lips smash against mine.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me tight. Instinctively, I wrapped my arms around him and kissed back gently.
