Andrea Russett
The house was already crowded, people bumping into everyone, shouting noisily. I'm honestly surprised we haven't had any noise complaints, yet I'm thankful we haven't. Kian was walking around making sure that everybody was happy with the party, and they were, as was I.
"Hey Andrea, I haven't seen you since the wreck!" Connor came up and hugged me, "how are you? I've missed you tremendously and I'm so happy you're okay."
I grinned and kissed his cheek, "thanks."
"Are you and Kian good?" He asked, smiling widely.
"Of course," I told him. "And how's your book? I saw it, I haven't gotten around to reading it yet though. I've been so busy with physical therapy and such."
"It's great, why've you got physical therapy?"
I shrugged slightly, "some people don't regain movement after a coma. Luckily I did, but they still want to make sure all my vitals and such are working. They are perfect so far. And they told me that it's a miracle that I've recovered so quickly!"
He rubbed my should reassuringly, "I'm happy for you."
I smiled and walked to find Kian. I found him in the kitchen talking to Meredith. I had allowed him last night to invite her, because I felt that I should be the bigger person. And it was nerve-wrecking to see them talking, but I knew he loved me, and that reassured me.
Kian saw me and smiled, then waved me over.
I walked over and he immediately put his arm around me.
"Hey!" Meredith spoke sweetly, "how are you? Kian was just telling me about your recovery. I'm so happy for you guys."
"Thanks, and I'm doing great! I recovered quickly."
Kian kissed my temple, "she's my little superhero, a quick recoverer. She bounces back quickly, and I couldn't be happier. I thought I'd lost her."
"Never," I smiled up at him, "you'll never lose me."
Meredith cleared her throat, clearly uncomfortable. "I'm glad you found your way back to each other. You two belong together. To be honest? I'm glad we broke things off Kian, it was good while it lasted. But you and Andrea are perfect for each other!"
I was honestly surprised.
"Thank you," he said for the both of us, "I just know that someday you'll find someone who loves you as much as I love Andrea."
"Thank you," she smiled and walked off.
I looked up at Kian and giggled.
"Proud?" He asked.
"You just had a civil conversation with your ex! Of course I am," I stood up on my tip toes and pressed my lips to his.
He kissed back and then dragged me to the living room where the majority of the people were gathered. He and I stood on the mantle, which was only about half a foot off the ground.
"Attention!" He shouted to everyone. He waited patiently until he had everyone's attention. "We're all here today to see someone we all love. Andrea Rose Russett! And may I just say, I love her like all of you do, if not more. Actually, I love her more. It's not a question!"
I blushed and looked down at my feet, already knowing what was coming, considering he blurted it out yesterday.
He looked at me and cupped my face in his hands, pulling me to look into his eyes. "Andrea, I'm in love with you. I was lost without you. I didn't know what to do. I thought I'd lost you forever. I don't ever want to have that feeling again."
I smiled sweetly.
He removed his hands from my face, and I could hear the gasps as he got down on one knee. "I can finally breathe again, knowing that you're back with me. The moment you were gone from me, I was upset. I knew at that moment that I want you in my life forever. I need you in my life. I don't want to ever let you go, never again. Andrea Rose Russett, will you marry me?"
Everybody grew silent, waiting for my response.
I was absolutely positive that my cheeks were rosy pink from blushing so much. My cheeks were already sore from smiling so widely.
I leaned down as pressed my lips to his.
He kissed back and then pulled away, "wait. Is that a yes?"
"Yes, Kian! Yes, a complete and absolute yes. I will marry you," I giggle and he stands up and hugs me tightly.
I could hear the cheers, but they were overlapped by the sound of our hearts beating as one.
