(Kevin)
*I don't like him....do I?*
I kept looking at Double D while he talked to the other dorks. The dance our eyes just did...it could have went on for hours. I wanted it to go on.
"Hey dude, are you okay?"
I broke my gaze to look at Jazz. Her traditional blonde bob framed her concerned face. I slowly shook my head.
"No, Nazz. I don't think I am."
"What's wrong Kevin? You know you can tell me anything dude." She placed a hand on mine. I smiled. Nazz and I have been best friends since we were little. We were so close that we ended up dating during our sophomore year. But I love her more like a sister, so we decided to be best friends.
"Okay. I think I have to something to tell you and Nat--"
"Did someone just say my name?" As if on cue, the green-haired idiot comes to our table with his tray of food. He sits down next to Nazz.
"Shhh dude, Kevin is trying to tell us something big." Nazz said.
" I already know what it is." Nat casually took a bite of his food.
I scoffed. " Whatever man, how can you possibly--"
"Kevin has a crush on Double Delicious over there."
I quickly shut my mouth.
*Damn it! How did he know??*
Nazz looked at Nat, then at me, and then back at Nat. Then she started to giggle, which turned into a full-blown laugh.
"Dude! You're too hilarious! That's funny, right kev....Kevin" Nazz said she turned back to look at me. I was looking down, scowling.
"Oh...that's great Kevin..." Nazz quietly said. I guess she was embarrassed for laughing so hard.
I groaned. "How can it be great? We're both guys!"
"Hey what's wrong with that? I'm a lover of all." Nat said.
"You want to screw everything with two legs." I mocked.
"Touché." He smirked.
"Did you tell him yet?" Nazz asked.
I immediately shook my head. "No, and I don't think I will. It's just a phase. I'll be over it soon."
"Kevin I don't think--" Nat began.
"It's only a phase Nat!" I interrupted him.
"Dude, denial is always the first stage." Nazz said, eating her salad.
"Whatever." I continued eating my lunch.
When school was over, I headed to our first football practice. We were all excited to get started, especially me. I needed to get rid of some frustration.
Practice lasted about two hours, including the time coach made me stay after to do those push ups for being late to that stupid homecoming meeting. It was starting to get dark when I walked towards my vintage red motorcycle.
As soon as I out in my helmet, something caught my eye. Someone was walking out of the school building. It was Double dork.
*What is he doing here so late?*
"Hey Double Do-- uh, Edd!"
The dork stopped in his tracks. He looked scared. When he saw me, his face looked more relaxed.
"Salutations Kevin." He said walking over
"Why are you here so late dork?"
"I could very well ask you the same thing Mr. Barr." He crossed his arms.
