*Please just let me make it through the rest of the day*

I ran down the hall way, trying to reach my locker. So far, I had successfully went through three classes without going through another..."incident", like this morning. I shuddered at the thought. My blackened eye had just stopped pulsating about 30 minutes ago.

*This morning was truly horrible. No sooner had I stepped in the building, I was teased, mocked and bullied.*

I reached my locker and looked around me anxiously.

*I just need to grab my lunch and run straight to the library. I'll be safe there.*

I hastily opened my locker. Suddenly a flood of tiny white note cards came rushing out of my locker. It was quite perplexing. There were just many of them!

I bent down to pick up one. My eyes widened and my body started to tremble as I read the word.

"Faggot"

I slowly looked down and noticed that they all had something written on them.  Something evil and hateful. Each one was more painful than the last.

"I hate you!"

"You're going to hell!"

"Fucking Fag!"

My chest started to tighten and it felt as if I couldn't breathe. I clutched my chest . Tears flowed without hesitation as I continue to stare at each note card.

I knew the bullying would be this way. However never would I believe it would be this painful. What frightened me even more was that it seemed mutual among many.

*Peach Creek will forever be a town of the small-minded*

The word "Faggot" hurt the most. My thoughts drifted to this morning during Ms. Elliot class.

All of those eyes, staring at me. Then Michael tripped me and let out that hateful word into the atmosphere.  Laughter filled the air as I laid there, fighting back tears. It was truly horrible. What made matters worse was all of this happened in front of Kevin. He looked so....angry.  There was a fire underneath his emerald green eyes, causing them to glimmer so brilliantly. It was beautiful as it was scary.

Admittedly, I couldn't figure out whether he was angry at Michael.... or at me. I haven't seen him since that party...Where Kevin found out that I kissed Preston. Where he nearly beat Preston to death.

*Where nearly the entire school population had found out that Kevin and I were lovers.*

Oh how I wanted to run into his safe arms and be whisked away. Away from the staring and the laughter. I missed him so much. But I knew better than to be selfish and assume everything would fine. I heaved out a huge sob.

*No Eddward, you've done enough damage. Just leave Kevin alone and deal with this on your own.*

Suddenly my locker door slammed against my head, sending waves of dizzying and blinding pain throughout my entire body.

I fell hard on the ground, landing on the pile of note cards.

"Well, I see that you got your present."
