"So Eddy have you figured out a way to ask Miss Nazz out yet? May I remind you that prom is only four days left." I stated as I passed him a meat lovers omelette.
We were in my kitchen enjoying a nutritious meal before we headed out to school. I had joyously volunteered to cook omelettes for everyone.
"Yeah...I'm just gonna give her a bouquet of roses and ask her today. They're her favorite so it's worth a shot." He said drinking his glass of orange juice. Ed and I stared at him with a puzzled expression.
"What?"
"Eddy...roses are not Miss Nazz's favorite. As I recall, she loves tulips."
"What?!? Oh come on Sockhead!! Every chick likes roses!"
"Exactly my point Eddy. She believes that roses are overrated." I stated putting my own egg white and gouda omelette on the table.
"...Lee loves roses Eddy." Ed teased. He and I started laughing uncontrollably.
"SCREW YOU GUYS!!!! I'M NOT ASKING LEE KANKER!" He yelled blushing furiously. Suddenly the door bell rang.
"Oh lighten up Eddy. Come and join the dark side." I teased as I walked over to the door. When I opened it, I saw the most gorgeous man to have ever graced my presence.
"Salutations Kevin." I smiled. He flashed me his brilliant colgate smile.
"There's my dork." He said. His tone filled me up with so much warmth, it gave me goosebumps.
"Uh don't forget about me double cutie!" Nathan complained.
I snapped out of my trance and noticed that he and Miss Nazz were standing on either side of him. A tinge of pink formed on my cheeks.
"M-my sincerest apologies. Greetings to you both! Please do come in. Breakfast is now being served." once they took their shoes off, they followed me in to the kitchen.
"Hiya guys!!" Ed exclaimed in between munching on his sausage and gravy omelette.
"Hey there big guy" Nathan said smiling. Eddy purposely let out an audible groan.
"Listen sockhead, I understand that you wanted to do this whole get together breakfast bullshit"
"Eddy..."
"But did you really have to invite HIM?!?"
"Still not playing nice little one? Do you need a time out?" he asked, playfully nudging Eddy in the ribs.
"How about you shut your trap shithead!"
"Eddy please! I invited him over, as well as everybody else, because he is a dear friend. Just like you." I passed Nathan a meat lovers omelette and he sat down next to Ed. Miss Nazz took her spinach and feta omelette and sat down next to Eddy.
"So Eddy...are you gonna ask me to prom or what??" she asked in. A nonchalant tone. Eddy choked on a bite of his omelette.
"W-what? I mean, uh, y-yeah. I was j-just..." Eddy's babbling trailed off. Miss Nazz raised a perfectly arched eyebrow.
"You were just waiting for the right moment?" she asked rolling her eyes. Eddy slowly nodded his head.
"Well....a little birdie told me simple questions deserve simple answers. So what's it gonna be??"
My cheeks burned red hot at her statement. I shot a glare at Kevin, who sat right next to me. He was enjoying his ham and swiss omelette. He smirked and gave me a sultry wink. I leaned in so no one could hear.
