(Edd)
*I cant believe she actually gave this back to me*

As I sat on Eddy's bed, waiting for him to finish his beauty regime, I was staring at something I truly thought I would never see again. My beanie. What was once my security blanket now was almost a foreign object to me. Even the fabric felt strange as I gently caressed my fingertips against the three white stripes.

"Okay, so how do I look?"

I glanced up to see that Eddy had finally came out of the bathroom. He strutted about the room wearing an all white tuxedo with a matching tie and dress shoes. His vest was a powdery pink, which I must admit did compliment his skin tone very well. He also donned a pink handkerchief in his left breast pocket and pink diamond cufflinks on his sleeves. He even slicked back the tuff of hair he managed to grow after all of these years. To say Eddy Skipper Sampson groomed himself well was a complete understatement. He looked downright dapper. I put down my beanie and stood up.

"You look very handsome Eddy. Miss Nazz is very lucky to have you by her side." I smiled at him. His cheeks turned the same color as his vest.

"Well uh, thanks sockhead." He mumbled.

"You dont look so bad yourself" he added, a smirk spreading across his face.

I looked down at my own appearance. I was cloaked in all black, sans my dress shirt. My dress pants, shoes, and blazer were the color of oynx. My oxford shirt was a vermillion red. I smiled to myself. I did look good...and I felt even better.

"Why thank you Eddy" I beamed. Eddy's gaze fell to his bed.

"Hey! Is that your beanie?!?" He exclaimed while pointing to the all too recognizable head gear. I picked it up and looked it over again.

"Yes, it seems Mother stumbled upon it while.....uh, packing her things away." I stated.

"She said it belonged to its rightful owner."

"Oh...so your mother is really leaving huh?" He asked. I slowly nodded.

"Yes. After the divorce is final"

Mother decided it was best to move away. She wanted a fresh start. Our conversation inspired her to reconnect with her own mother, who currently resides in her home country, Italy. She still brings up the topic of me moving with her and each time I politely refuse. It has been decided that father was going to keep the house and I would live there until I left for Dartmouth. However, I am extremely proud of her decision to rekindle the relationship with her mother.

*Hopefully it will pave the way for ours*

"So are you gonna wear it?" Eddy interrupted my thoughts. I shook my head and tossed the beanie back on the bed. I ran a hand through my ebony locks. The unruly curls were semi-tamed in a low ponytail.

"I dont think I need it anymore." I looked at him and smiled. Eddy gave me a pat on the shoulder.

"Good choice....but I'm still gonna call you sockhead." He teased and I playfully shoved him.

Eddy chuckled and looked at his grandfather's watch, a treasure he only wears for special occasions. Suddenly he let out a huge groan.

"Where the hell is Ed?! We were suppose to meet over at barf boy's house over an hour ago!" He snapped. I quickly rolled my eyes.

"Eddy, may I remind you that you are in fact the reason why we are late. Ed messaged us saying he was going to pick up May and meet us over Nathan's house. Did you not get the message? Or were you too engrossed in your facial?"
